He had two fiance before this, meaning to say nagkaroon sya ng total na tatlong fiance simula nung umupo sya as the Emperor of Kiruna Kingdom. Ang sanhi ng pagkamatay ng iba nyang fiance? All of them had their throats sliced like a butter.
Hindi na ako magugulat kung ganyan din ang nangyare sa pangatlong fiance nya ngayon. Many people already suspected the Emperor behind the deaths of his three fiancee, but no one have enough evidence at takot sila kalabanin ang isang Emperor, so they stay silent and ignorant of this issue.
The problem is, his third fiance was the first ranked noble at Vigan Kingdom, Lady Shane. Paniguradong gusto ng magulang nya ng hustisya sa pagkamatay ng kanilang only child. Dahil mataas ang posisyon ni Lady Shane sa Vigan Kingdom and knowing Emperor Adrian, he valued his position above everyone the most, kaya I'm sure as heck na kukunin nya ang favour ng pamilya ni shane para mas magkaroon sya ng matibay na pillar or backing sakanyang trono dahil ang ama ni Lady Shane is the one and only general of the royal army ng Vigan Kingdom.
This is one of the reasons kung bakit nagkaroon ng war between Kiruna and Vigan Kingdom.
Pero hindi dapat ako nandito, sa novel nabalitaan lang ni Lucy ang pagkamatay ng fiance ni Emperor Axel and that's it, but since nandito ako sa sitwasyon na to, pano kung may nakaalam na gusto ako ng Emperor pakasalan matapos mamatay ang kanyang fiance? Edi masasama ang Verona Kingdom sa gulong pinasok ng Kiruna Kingdom?
I tensed up, another red flag was risen.
Sinubukan nyang humakbang papalapit sakin pero umatras ako papalayo sakanya, my hand already resting on my dagger.
"Emperor Axel, I'm afraid I refuse your proposal. What is your intention? It's more than strengthening the bond between our kingdom isn't?" Kinakabahang tanong ko kay Axel.
Sino niloloko nya? Out of no where he's asking my hand for marriage? To think na iisipin nyang tatanggapin ko ang alok nya just because pinatay nya ang fiance nya. He can't fool me. I am ten times steps ahead of him. I know the novel like a back of my hand.
My eyes narrowed at him when I realized something.
"You're planning to rule Verona Kingdom as well." Blankong sabi ko.
Of course, why would he ask to marry me? Para mapunta rin sakanya ang Verona Kingdom!
Pumalakpak naman si Emperor Axel sa sinabi ko with a clear interest dancing in his eyes.
"Why aren't you smart? I'm impressed. Napaka swerte ng Verona Kingdom to have you as their Empress. I must warn you, one day pipilitin ka ng sarili mong mga taohan mismo maghanap ng asawa, they don't want the pure bloodline to stop running. I am the best candidate among the three Emperors of Izu country. You will rule Kiruna Kingdom as well. There is nothing to lose, so why are refusing my request? I am giving you a favour." He said with a smile, his eyes full of mischief.
Napangisi lang ako sakanya.
"I know what you are planning Emperor Axel and remember this, I will never ever let someone control me!" I said with anger bago ibinato ang tinidor mula sa cake sakanya. He tilts his head to the side, effortlessly avoiding my attempt to harm him.
"Empress, you are testing my patient right now. Enough of the child play, you either accept me or I force y----" He stopped talking when one of the bigger branches of the tree above him fell down on him.
I took this chance to climb my way over one of the tress and over the big gate. Mukha akong tanga dahil naka long dress ako habang umaakyat sa puno, but is this one of my least priorities at the moment. Right now, kailangan ko makalayo kay Emperor Axel or in this kingdom.
Sabi na nga ba, interacting with the Emperors is no good at all. Dat pala nanatili na lang ako sa kingdom, but someone just had to kidnap me.
Napamura ako ng sunod sunod dahil hindi ko aakalain na sobrang taas pala ng gate ng palace. I will definitely break some of my bone if I jumped down.
"GUARDS!" Sigaw ni Axel sa likod ko before I feel someone grabbing the end of my dress. Napatingin ako sa kamay ni Axel.
"Empress, I am warning you. Get down right now or you will regret it~" He said with his usual playful voice. He is clearly amused right now. How the fuck he found this situation amusing?!
"Brat!" Napatingin agad ako sa ibaba ng gate at napansin ang napaka pamilyar na mukha ni Andrew, he motioned me to get down while he stretcheshis arm, ready to catch me. Halos pagpalain ko ang langit dahil sobrang swerte ko ngayon.
"I am very sorry Emperor Axel, this is the time where I have to go." His amused expression was quickly wiped out. Before he can said anything, pinunit ko ang part ng gown na hawak nya at walang alinlangang tumalon sa malaking gate. Andrew catching me just in time.
Napansin ko Andrew is looking up where I came from. Sinundan ko ang kanyang paningin and froze when I saw Emperor Axel looking down on us.
"Going as far as this just to escape my proposal? You're getting more interesting, Empress." He said with a smirk bago nawala sa paningin namin. His smirk sent a shiver down to my spine.
Andrew immediately ride his horse ng marinig namin ang mga yabag ng mga knights papalapit samin. I gave him a look of confusion dahil hindi ito ang direksyon na papunta sa border ng Jura Forest.
"Where are we going? Bakit papunta tayo sa other side ng Kiruna Kingdom?" Takang tanong ko sakanya.
"We can't go back to your kingdom right now, Empress. For some reason, the Jura Forest was heavily guarded. Looks like Emperor Axel knows this is going to happen." Seryosong sabi nya while keeping tabs on the knight behind us.
"Then, saan tayo pupunta?"
"Mikawa Kingdom."
Another red flag was risen.
