Chapter 8

Maya exhales as she tries to stayed focused on her homework.
She shook her head as she knew it wouldn't work out shutting her laptop down before she buried her head in her hands.
All she could think about is what could have gone wrong the past few days during the whole thing with her father.
Suddenly she feels a hand on her shoulder looking up finding Josh.

"Doesn't help to whine. What's wrong?" Josh asked.
"Everything. Feel like I wanna do something crazy and irresponsible," Maya said.
"Good grief. You have a good mood," Josh said laughing.
"Why aren't you in Philly?" Maya asked.
"Guess," Josh said and Maya looked at him.
"Well I'm..." Maya said but didn't get the opportunity to finish.

Josh grabbed her face immediately letting their lips touch.
The moment was magical to Maya but she was yet frightened.
Her first kiss with her first love.
She never thought she would actually have that and now she did.
But how was it going to end?

Josh pulls away looking in Maya's eyes as she knew he had no idea what he had just done.
And Maya knew what was on his mind.

"Don't say anything. Just stay with me," Maya said.
"Always," Josh said as Maya rested her head on Josh's shoulder and he placed his hand around her waist.
