Awkward me

I looked at the guy sitting in front of me. I noticed sya yung guy na nakapila dun sa may samgyup resto kanina. The one behind me. Yung may kausap sa phone nya telling about the long line trying to get seats.

Tumikhim ako to start talking to ask him to get other seats.

"Ahm, kuya, taken na po lahat ng seats sa table na to. Bale, lipat nalang po kayo" I said, trying to smile a little. The guy just looked at me and did not say anything. Mukhang wala din syang planong umalis sa inuupuan nya despite me telling him that it's already taken. Before I can reiterate to him na lumipat sana sya ng pwesto, Ron and Eve came back from the counter and the guy turned his head to them.

"Dude, Kelvin, this is Eve, my girlfriend" Ron said to him introducing my friend. Eve smiled to him and also said hi. Nagbeso pa sya to the Kelvin guy.

"Hi, Kelvin. Oo nga pala, this is my friend, Mary. We are also waiting for another friend of mine. She'll be here in a few."

The Kelvin guy turned his head to me again and just gave a subtle nod. Ako naman, somehow I felt embarassed kasi pinapaalis ko pa sya kanina. Not my fault tho, since di ko naman alam na sya pala yung friend ni Ron. I also bowed my head a little to acknowledge him but both of us did not say anything to one another.

"How long daw bago maserve yung food. Gutom na talaga ako" Kelvin asked Ron. Ron, on the other hand chuckled and said foods will be ready in 10 minutes. Kelvin just nodded and did not talk anymore. Eve and Ron talked to each other while me and Kelvin are both silent.

I subtlety study Kelvin and looks like we are on the same age, or he might be a year or two older since Ron is older than us by 2 years base na din sa pagkakaask ko kay Eve kanina. Complexion wise, he is not moreno pero di naman din maputi, he's in between. He has the same height as Ron so matangkad sya and he is wearing eye glasses. May pagkachingky din yung eyes nya, tho he doesn't seem Chinese or Korean. He looks good actually, di sya yung tipong head turner but may dating sya. Maya maya pa dumating na si Mirianne. She was introduced to Ron and Kelvin by Eve but this time, Kelvin offered his hand to her. Wow, I thought. He offered her a handshake pero sakin nod lang. He also said hi and smiled at her, too. I felt awkward that time pero di ko na lang pinahalata. Food came in after 10 minutes and we ate while talking. Well, I ate and they were talking. Ron and Eve have been talking about something while Kelvin and Mirianne also have a topic of their own.

I honestly felt like a fifth wheel. I am okay with it though, mejo awkward lang din talaga sa pakiramdam. I admit, I am not really best in socializing and Eve and Mirianne can really carry a good conversation. Pansin ko din na nagiging at ease na sila sa isa't isa. They try to talk to me rin naman but being me, I only say a thing or two then yun na. Kelvin and Mirianne are already talking about their profession and nakikinig lang ako sa kanila while trying to focus on eating nalang so I won't feel out of place.

Honestly, I do feel out of place. Yung plan ko na sana maging relaxing day to was a failure. I honestly thought this would be just us 3 girls pero syempre, wala naman talagang masama na nandito din sina Ron and Kelvin. Di lang siguro ako masyado makarelate? Of course, given na yung attention ni Eve ay na kay Ron. Mirianne and Kelvin are getting really well na, ako lang talaga yung di makasabay. Di ko rin maintindihan pero para bang gusto ko nalang sanang umuwi.
