Y/N stretched out onto her bed as she slowly felt herself get more and more tired. She watched the moon rise slowly as the stars twinkled. She flipped over onto her side of the bed. She was so used to Julian's body filling up the empty space. He was never home. All he ever did was drink and smoke. He wasn't here anymore. Y/N had gotten used to the empty space by now.

'Cause you're not by my side

She heard the front door open and close with a loud slam, she turned over to see the shadow of Jules in the doorway, all before he stumbled into the room and fell onto the bed. He reeked of weed, and smoke. He groaned and face planted into the pillow and spoke lightly,

"I'm sorry." Y/N ignored his apology and continued singing.

Decided that once again I was just dreaming

Of bumping into you

Now it's three in the morning and I'm trying to change your mind

She turned and saw Julian looking at her sadly.

Left you multiple missed calls and to my message you reply"Why'd you only call me when you're high?

She felt a tear fall from her face, Julian's eyes watched as it fell and was going to speak but Y/N interrupted, her voice carried as she stood up,

Somewhere darker

I need a partner (hey)

Well, are you out tonight?

She turned her voice angry as she approached him, her finger pointed at him accusingly,

It's harder and harder to get you to listen

More I get through the gears

Incapable of making alright decisions

And having bad ideas

She threw her hands up in anger and frustration as he only looked at her with his mouth wide open.

Now it's three in the morning and I'm trying to change your mind

She turned back around and let out a dry and angry sob, almost like she was angry she was crying.

And I can't see you here wonder where I might?

Sort of feels like I'm running out of time

I haven't found what I was hoping to find

You said, "You gotta be up in the morning, gonna have an early night

And you're starting to bore me, baby

Why'd you only call me when you're high?"

Why'd you only ever phone me when you're high?

She turned as she finished to see Julian was crying, his one eye was no longer covered. He bit his lip to hold back his sobs. She hissed back at him this time her own tears running through the sobs,

"You are never here Ilya. You only ever come here when your drunk and want someone. What about when I want someone? Huh? What about me? What about- What about us?" She turned and slipped on her coat before walking out, the door slamming behind her.
