Months passed by. In the human world things were going chaotic. Kris’s team invaded many of their secret underground bases. Destroying them and stole their research, papers everything. Wiping out evidence of our existence so that the rest of the world won’t find out. The hunters declared war between humans and supernatural because Kris has eliminated all the mutated humans except for Sungjong of course. This time using machinery they have created which according to Kris could actually kill us all after witnessing a fatal blow his team faced and poor Lay it took him 3 weeks just to heal one along with a team of healers. Sunggyu finalised and declared the two worlds to be officially sealed so that humans can’t find this place but the only problem is how they are going to do it.
Lydia on the other hand, has not woken up. Chanyeol’s huge effort only kept her body alive but her brain was still frozen. Sungjong trained hard to use his powers and hopefully find a way to undo his powers. He was able to control his powers and had less tantrums so he was allowed to roam freely in the mansion. He was declared an official member in Infinite. His name was registered under the Lee family since Hoya’s family had a brother we faked Sungjong’s id for Hoya’s brother and so Dongwoo’s room became his own room while Lydia stayed in my room with Sungyeol.
And myself, I’m still… you could say lost. I don’t know what it is but something is missing. Of course Lydia is not here but there is something I just can’t remember and it is getting me really bothered.
“Hyung” Sungjong called out under his blankets. I turned my head to see his grey eyes looking at me. They were no longer brown which was a sign he was no longer human but a full fledge vampire. “Bad dream?”
Sungjong nodded his head. I approached his bed and he moved to make room for me to sit. Somehow he reminded of Lydia and strangely both of us became closer. “He feels really bad for her” he sighed. “Don’t listen to it” I replied. I guess it was because we were similar that we were close.
“Sungjong head hurts real bad because of him” “Well first you need to learn to ignore it” I recite the words Sunggyu told me when he found out about my condition. Sungjong nodded his head and I began stoking his head, the same way I would do sometimes when Lydia had a nightmare. This was the second human I had touched so far I realised. Sungjong closed his eyes breathing deeply then quickly a shock of chill flowed through my hands to arms then my whole body froze.
I jerked my hand away from him once I could feel my hands again and stared at Sungjong sleeping. Images and loud voices pounded into my head in all kind of directions shutting my eyes I tried to ignore the throbbing pain. Pain. That what I was missing. The whole time my mind was numb, still asleep you could say but now I was feeling pain. Once it all disappeared I ran to the dressing table and saw my reflection. I still looked the same even though my insides are a mess then something made my body chilled. He was looking right at me. I finally found what I was missing. Him.
“Hey you’re alright?” Sunggyu squeezed my shoulders firmly. His cold hands snapped me from my trance. Quickly I pulled my thoughts back thinking of something else. Flowers yeah they are so pretty I commented in my head just so Sunggyu wouldn’t read my mind. I nodded my head focusing back to my report but those images from last night still lingered in my mind. Sunggyu frowned and tried to stifle a laugh. “Go and take a rest for now. You can’t work at that state” I stared at him confusingly and he signalled the door. The others looked up from their work watching me leaving the office. “What’s up with him?” Sungyeol asked as he watched me leave. As soon as I shut the door Sunggyu started to laugh to himself. “What’s up with him?” Sungyeol asked again pointing at Sunggyu. “I think he’s crazy” Dongwoo whispered twirling his finger afterwards everyone broke into a laugh.
