"AND I KNOW YOU LOVE ME

|KIM|

Those eyes had me froze to my place on the ground.

My voice was caught in my throat.

I had never seen such beautiful eyes.

Or maybe it was the vodka embedded in my veins.

His voice ran has ringing through my ears, only just now realizing he was speaking.

He was speaking to me.

"Are you okay",he asked with a concern gracing his gaze.

I registered the fact that he had asked me a question.

I had to say something back.

"Y-yeah I'm fine",I said trying to stand from sitting position to quickly.

I stood up only to fall forward.

I knocked into his chest, only to quickly pull back seconds later.

I fumbled over me slightly slurred speech, "I di- I'm sorry I didn't".

I stopped trying to speak when I saw the toothy grin the took over his face.

"It's quite alright princess",he confirmed, then he lightly gripped my waist to steady my shaking stance.

My cheeks heated at the pet name "princess".

One of which I had never been called before.

Goosebumps had grazed my arms at his light grip on my waist.

His grip was kind.

His grip was firm.

His grip was burning the skin of my waist through my dress.

I had never been held in such a kind manner before.

I've always been handled roughly.

By my mother.

By my father.

By my boyfriends.

So the way his other hand softly caressed my shoulder as he spoke had my whole being lite in fire.

Soul, skin, toes, and my baby hairs.

"Do you need me to call you an Uber or something",he spoke with words of my well-being yet again.

He spoke in a gentle tone.

So gentle it was almost a whisper.

Only then grasping his question.

I realized he was asking me if wanted to go home.

Of course I did.

I just wanted to lie down on my soft silk sheets after a long shower, and wallow in my sadness.

But I couldn't because I came here with my friends.

And I can't just leave them because I'm not having a good time.

Not everything's about me.

Not everything is about me.

"My f-friends are still in the- in the club", I jumbled out and prayed to god he understood the utter bullshit I had just said.

I'm such a fucking clown.

"Okay I can help you find your friends if you want",he declared with a boyish grin.

He seemed determined to help in some way.

More than likely because he literally found me crying at the club.
