Chapter 2: Thanks for Being Such a Swell...Ignorrant, Cocky Idiot

*hasn't been edited yet*

I am awoken by the annoying "meep" of my alarm clock. My hand struggles to find the 'snooze' button. I finally hit the button, shutting it up.

About ten minutes later, the stupid thing goes off again. I groan and place my pillow on my head, trying to ignore it. That's when I realize what day it was.

"Crap," I mumble as I shoot up from my bed. Today was my first day at my new school.

I quickly change into a loose plain black T-shirt, a burnt-orange skirt and my black leather jacket. I then rush into the bathroom and brush out my tangled, blonde hair and take my straightener to it. I apply a small amount of eyeliner and mascara and head out of the bathroom. I definitely wanted to impress on my first day.

I take on last glance at myself before rushing down the stairs for breakfast. I pour myself a glass of orange juice and grab an apple. Just then I hear footsteps on the stairwell.

"Why the hell are you up?" My exhausted mom asks as she enters the kitchen.

"I have school today," I say in my best 'duh' voice.

"You are going to school at three in the morning?" She questions. I glance at the clock on the microwave, and sure enough, it was 3:05. Strange.

"I swear my alarm clock said six," I tell her, exiting the kitchen and running up the stair to my bedroom. Yep, I was right. Did I set my clock wrong or something?

That's when it hits me.

I storm into my brothers room and rip the cover off of his head. Sure enough, he is laying there wide awake staring at me in horror. He should be scared.

"Why do you have to be an asshole sometimes? You know how I get when I do not get enough sleep." I say angrily.

He shrugs his shoulders in response. Stupid boy.

"Next time you do something like this, I swear I will throw your Xbox out the window and break all of your games," I threaten. "You hear?"

He looks at me nervously and nods his head.

"Good talk," I say before exiting his room. Thanks to him, I would not be able to fall back to sleep, so I go into my bedroom and turn on the television. I go to my recorded shows and select a Ghost Adventures at random. I love this show because of these two reasons: I love scary stuff and Zak Bagans is absolutely gorgeous!

At around 7:30, I turn off the television, quickly brush my teeth, and run down the stairs. My backpack, a cute leather bag my mom got me for Christmas, is leaning on a wall by the front door. I put on my short, black ankle boots and raise the bag, placing it on my shoulders. I take out my phone and headphones from my pocket and turn on the Phantom of the Opera playlist on (which I secretly loved, but I didn't told anyone). I walk out of the house and to the end of my driveway, waiting for the bus to come. At the same time I reach the end of the to driveway, the grass hole himself struts out of his house. He sees me and smirks.

"Hey there blondie, want a ride to school?" He yells across the road.

"No thanks, I would rather ride the noisy, smelly bus than be with you." He frowns at my comment.

"Come on, Ashlynn." Did he just say my actual name?

"If you want me to ride with you that badly, then I guess I will," I shout back, crossing the street to his house. He is about to say something, but shuts his mouth quickly. He looks me up and down and I raise my eyebrows.
