Sandra lives with her roommate Barley on a modern planet.
Her entire life, she sees strange things. Loved ones, ripped to shreds in front of her eyes by unidentifiable creatures, a sea of organs, and herself- being the culprit of these deaths.
One...
Peace bolted down the cobblestone road, as it was clicking and clacking beneath her feet; Her multi-colored hair and loose clothing blowing in the wind. She grasped her flashlight with sweaty hands- surprisingly the flashlight still stuck to her- despite the gross wet fluids causing it to slip. She was shaking, terrified. The moans of the creature behind her only caused her to move faster. But the thing could still catch up, being quicker than her, even at it's seemingly slow pace. Tears streamed from Peace's eyes, as the blood from her nose and mouth leaked, creating such an appetizing scent that the creature could always tell where she was. She tripped, dropping the flashlight, but had gotten up and zoomed away. Only the moonglow was her source of light in the dark jumble of passages and homes.
She swiftly cut a corner around a house which had been already torn apart- not unlike the others- not taking one moment more, she ran inside its open walls. Stepping on something bouncy. Looking down, she saw it was a trapdoor. She assumed it was to a basement and opened it, stepping onto the unstable ladder as her body trembled. Her feet made contact with the cold concrete floor, while she shut the door as tight as she could. She slid her hands along the door's bottom surface, as she desperately searched for a lock. Her face lit up when she had felt something, but realizing it was only the handle for the way out her expression reset itself to fear. She was vulnerable. Such an easy target for those things. She backed up into a corner of the empty room as she sat down- Her hair rubbing up against the old unused wall. Taking a moment to catch her breath, she realized this wasn't a basement. It was a crawl space. Except, a bit bigger than a normal one. This must've been one of the Angel Assistant's homes. They were always so privileged. She heard it. As it's feet shook the home above her, making a large cobweb from over near the ladder lose part of its grip to the dusty wall. She huddled her knees to her chest, wrapping her arms around them and setting her head in between. "What were the goddesses thinking? Reining such chaos on us.. we did nothing wrong. Why us? Why us..? Why? Please.." Closing her eyes, she whispered to herself while silently sobbing in the corner of the lonely crawlspace. She sounded like a crazy person. The creature began to bang on the trapdoor, which shot Peace's eyes open. Her breathing quickened again. It banged more, and more. Finally punching its melting claws through the weak birch wood. It shoved it's head in. The familiar face of her friends melted together in one horrified her. Just as she first saw this creature, she wanted to vomit. "Cupid.. Magma.. please.. y-you'd never do this! W-we're friends!" She cried to the thing, trying to speak to it. But she already knew, deep in that thing, her friends were long gone. Taken by her goddess' awful mistakes. Why? She didn't know, all she knew was how it began, but not how it spread. The creature transported its entire body into the small crawlspace, morphing it's dripping body to fit the area. "I'm.. so.. so.. sorry, I couldn't save you." She stood up. "I'm ashamed to look at you both like this.. and I'm ashamed to have to resist killing you." It opened its wide mouth, showing a mush of organs and bodies. It didn't even have teeth.. just gums. It spat acid at Peace, she speedily dodged, going to whack its mouth shut- As she even made contact with its wax skin, it wrapped around her hands and up her arms, she tugged and pulled away frantically when she realized her mistake. It slid its tongue up to her right arm, the acid saliva burning her fur and skin underneath, the number two placed on her wrist on was burnt off: a blister and scar soon to form there. She shrieked in pain, tugging stronger out of the thing's tight gooey grasp. Having escaped the grip, she kicked it in its face. "You disgusting-" She took a moment to think of an insult. "-fat morphing monster!" She sped past the creature as it reformed the dent she had made in its face. It hissed at her. Leaving the home, she looked behind her. The ground shook violently, causing her to freeze in place to avoid falling. Purple tentacles rose from underneath the cobblestone. She let out a whimper, and gulped.

She dashed away and hid behind the walls of another home. As she looked out in the distance in any hope for shelter, her luck didn't fail her. A nearby shed! she could find a weapon there! She snuck over to it in hopes not to wake anything or make it realize she was there. The door creaked, and she immediately swung it open, and then shut as fast as she could. Once she had got in, she locked the door behind her, as if that'd do anything on a creature that could rip her apart like one of those sticky stickmen you toss at the walls- but with a lot of blood. After slowing her breathing, she listened closely for anything on the outside. But found herself hearing something from inside. Whimpering. She stepped further into the old shed. The frail wood stuck up in some parts; which she made sure to avoid carefully, they look like some painful splinters. The whimpering grew nearer and nearer. As she wanted to make sure it wouldn't be anything bad, she tiptoed to a shelf. Peeking from behind it, she saw someone who was in two parts.. literally. Their fur was a cream color, with white spots in some areas. Blood stained their fur where they had been cut in half in some way. She approached them with caution and knelt down to the person. "H-Hey.. Don't worry.. uhm..-" The person began talking weakly, "Am I gonna die here..?" "No you won't! Trust me, there has to be a med kit somewhere." She got up, and searched the same shelf she hid behind. Reaching past a few empty cans of beans, she felt the bumpy texture and then smooth plastic of the object. "Aha!" She kneeled back down next to the person. She had realized this entire time, that the persons eyes were closed. "Alright, first thing is first, here's some painkillers.. open wide." The person opened their mouth, revealing a sharp set of layered teeth, and a long slick tongue that rapidly moved. Peace dropped the pills, shivering. The person sat up, along with their other half as the pelvis and legs stood on their own. And then, theyopenedtheireyes. ———————- Let me know how I did! It's been a while since I've wrote.
