I'm going to dedicate this to alchorne, because she one of my good friends in real life, and I think is starting a story of her own so here's a shout out to you buddy!

My eyes snapped open and my heart races, did they capture me again? No. I'm in a hospital bed. I look around. My wrist is hooked up to a I.V and my side is bandaged up. Memories rush through me. Logan! I look around more frantically this time. I try to get up, but my arms and legs are restrained. Not again! I here the door squeak open as a woman in a sterile white suit enters. "I'm glad your awake Dari," she says in a warm voice.

"Where am I?" I ask with caution.

"We brought you to the nearest hospital after the police sedated you,"

"And why did they sadate me?"

She pauses, "Because...you...weren't....corrupting,"

I nod slightly remembering that. You know the part where I was screaming hysterically? Yep.. "Where is he?"

"He's alright, none of the bullets managed to hit him,"

What? How...I saw him get hit, I felt him get hit with those stinging pellets of metal. I tilted my head, slightly confused.

Is this some how related to his power? I try to hide my confusion, but she sees it. "What's your name anyway?" I ask.

"Doctor Eden,"

She walks over to me with a clip board. "How are you feeling with that wound of yours?"

"A little better,"

"Can you try to sit up?"

She undoes my hand restraints and I nod, pushing myself into a sitting position with a little discomfort. She marks something on her clip board and changes out the I.V. bag. "Be ready Dari, they're going to question you," she whispers.

I turn to look at her, not sure if she said something. "Who?" I mouth back.

Right before she can answer the door opens again. A man with a cop uniform walks in, leaving two men posted outside. "May I talk to her," He says, but I know he not taking no for an answer.

Doctor Eden nods slightly and leaves the room, leaving me and the cop in an awkward silence. "Do you remember anything before we had to sedate you?" he asked calmly.

I nod slowly as he continues. "Can you tell me what happened to you in the past three weeks?"

Flash backs race through my head. My mother dieing before my eyes, killing those two men, and Logan's face when the bullets bounced off him. "My mother was killed," I state plainly, tears forming at the edges of my eyes.

He nods for me to continue. "And..and...Logan...he saved me,"

This surprised the detective very much. "Why did you go with him then?"

I grew quiet, this was a toss up, how was I going to explain what was going on without revealing my powers or Logan's? "He's an old friend of my family," I didn't know if this was true or not, but I was going with it.

"And what else?"

"He took me to his house, and I stayed there for about three weeks,"

By the look on his face, he didn't believe anything I was saying one bit. Of course he didn't, I was spotted in Washington, it was all over the news. And they found me in a gas station in Virginia. He nodded slightly, "You need to tell the truth, so we can protect you,"
