I'm sick and tired of who I've become
When can I go back?
Back to when the only cuts I got were from scraping my knee or a papercut.
Back to when there wasn't so much expected of me.
Back to when I could act like a kid and not worry about judgement.
When can I go back to the old emotions?
Back to when a smile was real.
Back to when you were sad it was only for a day.
Back to when I never knew what heartbreak felt like.
When can I go back to me?
Back to when I thought everyone was for me, not against.
Back to when I didn't cry myself to sleep.
Back to when I was happy for no god damn reason other than for the sake of being happy.
When can I go back to being a child.
Back to when school was just coloring.
And back to when you were friends with everyone.
Back to when you were accepted as who you were.
Answer me please.
I really want to go back.
Back to when life was easy.
Back to the past.
