Remote Control

Play the memories,

Everything I’ve been through

Fast forward through the tears,

Indulging in despair

Rewind the happiness,

I ache to remember

Pause the smiles,

Wipe off the frowns

Replay the laughter,

If I forget how it sounds

Stop the pain,

So I could learn how to love

All these things I’d do,

Only if I could

Resolve all the problems,

Erase them for good

But tragedies remain,

And life doesn’t stop

Good memories don’t last,

Bad memories I’d swap

But this is how it is,

And everyone wants more

Oh how I wish,

My life had a remote control
