Sander sides!

A job well done

"Ya know," he started " I'd call this a job well done, but we're kinda hanging over a pit of lava about to be dropped in..." I look over to him and try to smile through the tears "At least we tried."

*flashback* Roman's PoV

"Come on brother! Its been a while since we went on an adventure together! It'll be fun!" Remus has been begging to go on an adventure for days now! He forgets that the last time we were on an adventure we were almost killed... Scratch that, we as sides, cannot die. The does not mean we cannot feel pain. 

"Remus, last time we went on an adventure we were almost killed!" 

"But look! Here we are! Alive, without a scratch," he looks at me playfully "Ooh I see. Is the prince tired of adventures?" he teases. He's trying to make me crack. 

"Remus- Give it up! I do-"

He cuts me off.

"But I've found something!"

*time skip*

"What is this?" I ask, we've been walking for hours now, and I'm tiring out. I really do love adventures, but I don't know where we're going and I have to trust Remus to get us there...

"Just be patient! We'll be there soon! We're very close." He says, out of breath.

*time skip*

This is intense. If I were to learn anything from this, it's that I'm out of shape. 

"And we're here!" Finally

I look up to see a cave... Wait, I know this cave.

"You didn't" I say unbelieving the sight before me, "Is that?"

"The cave of the Dragon Witch?!" We both say together.

He nods and has a crooked smile on his face, "I hope you brought your sword and shield brother," he whispers walking in and pulling out his morning star. 

We've had an ongoing rivalry with this certain beast for a very long time. Since before the split. We, or him; the king, would fight this beast but never leave victorious.  After the split, we would come back as kids, but we, as in me, was too afraid to face them again. As we got older, we would come and fight. We stopped when there was too close a call during one battle. It was all I could do to get us out of there.

I shudder at the memory and draw my weapons. "Lets go," I smile. This time, we will not lose.

We walk in and see them, The dragon. We creep around behind the beast to the top of it's back, where neck meets shoulder, the weak spot.

 I glance at Remus and he nods, I mouth "1... 2...3..."

We strike at the same time and a shrieking roar is echoed through the cave as the beast rises from it's slumber. "Roman! Hide!" Remus yells,  but it's too late. 

"Been a while prince." Hit. I'm flung backward towards the cave wall, my vision blurring. The creature crawls toward me, grabbing my leg and dangling me upside down. A searing pain spreads through my leg "AHH!" I scream out of fear and pain. 

"Is that green brother of yours here too?" The beast asks, glaring at me.

I try to spot Remus and find him climbing the the beast's tail, trying to get to the nape. I shake my head, trying to buy Remus time. "N-no, it's just me, I came alone," I say with as much confidence I can muster.

"Foolish prince"-they say, walking over to the light source; blazing hot lava-  "One would think that after last time, you would never come back"- They dangle me over the pit- "certainly not alone," the beast eyes me suspiciously.
