I texted Josh.

Me: Tyler's ignoring me😑

Josh: What why?

Me: Probably cuz Butler don't like me

Josh: Oh pls that guy can start having a say in who Tyler sees when he can make an open 3 pointer

Me: Facts... but still I guess it's over

Josh: NOOOOOO this is not the end for (Ship Name)

Me: Bro it's chill. It wasn't gonna happen anyway

Josh: Ok if it was UD who didn't approve of u then I'd being saying something different but Jimmy Butler is not gonna be the reason why u don't make babies with Tyler Herro

Me: Okkkkk but even if so, how do I get him to not ignore me. It's not like I can j show up to his practice or smthn

Josh: Why not? That's a great idea

Me: Bruh

Josh: I'll think of something. I'll come over tonight after my date

Me: Someone agreed to go on a date w u???

Josh: 🙄 her name is Aubrey and she does competitive chess

Me: ...very cool😂

Josh: She's hot I swear

Me: I'm more amazed that a smart girl agreed to go on a date w u

Josh: I'll be over at 7 but make me a bed I'm crashing at urs

My phone buzzed and I saw that I got a text from Tyler.

Tyler: Sorry, but I can't see you anymore. You're getting in the way of basketball and it's really important for me to stay on top of my game right now.

I tried texting back, but the message wouldn't deliver. He blocked me. Then I got a little angry and got into shorts and a t-shirt, grabbed a basketball and walked down to the outdoor hoops about two blocks from my apartment.

I put in my AirPods and started listening to rap. What an asshole. Then I got a call and picked up. It was Josh.

"(Y/N), where are you?"

"Oh my god. I lost track of time. I'm down by the outdoor courts."

It was already 7:00 and I didn't even notice. I had been playing for more than a few hours straight.

"Do you still wanna hang out or...?"

"Actually no. I actually didn't even like Tyler that much anyways. Besides, there are better players. Maybe I should start dating Duncan Robinson."

"Okay, (Y/N). Are you sure?"

"Yeah, it's fine, believe me. Don't even worry about it."

"Okay, bro. See you later."

"Bye."

Yeah, so I lied. Whatever. I needed to move on anyways. I started walking home and when I was about half way there, it started raining.

"Hey, mamacita. You look like you could use a ride." Some creep from inside a white, beat up truck hollered at me while driving slowly next to me. I ignored him.

He whistled. "Oye, look at that fiiiiiine booty that you got there."

At that point, I got a little creeped out, but my house was a minute away so I just ignored him and kept walking.
