Ping.

Harmony's phone had received a text message.

Who would be texting me? Mom and Dad? No, they're still at their meeting, but Melody would never text me. So who is it? Harmony wondered.

She picked up her black phone and saw that the message had no caller ID.

That's weird.

Come to Jasmine Mall at 9 pm sharp today. Do not reply to this message.

Harmont was confused. Maybe it was a prank? But who would prank her? Nobody knew her well enough to try and scare her. Only her friend Betsy was that close, but she moved away so long ago that she barely remembered her. Except for a few memories, that is.

I don't have any plans tonight. But who am I kidding? This whole thing is so sketchy. No way am I going.

But Harmony longed for social interaction. She told herself she's fine in isolation, but it was a lie.

After all, she is a great liar.

Maybe she could put that in use for tonight. The wheels in her mind were spinning with ideas, and there was nobody who could change her mind now. Her plan would be perfect.

She never stopped to consider that the message could have been a wrong number.
