"Rain storm"

The crash of thunder could be heard all around Little Homeworld, rain drops pouring down the roof of every building.
One small house in particular sat next to two others, but unlike the harsh and unwelcoming weather outside, the place was silent, the only light being provided by a small lamp beside a bed.
Lightning struck again as Lapis held onto you tighter, head resting in the crook of your neck, your hands wrapped around her waist.
A particularly powerful crash had woken you up, but thankfully not your girlfriend.
Seeing her clinging to your side, asleep and at peace like this was one of your favorite things, and not wanting to disturb her sleep, you sat still, staring at the ceiling, gently running your hands through Lapis' blue locks, feeling her inching closer to you in her sleep.
One of her legs lifted to wrap around your waist, and you heard a little noise erupt from her throat as the rainstorm's intensity increased.
You gently pulled her even closer to you and pet her hair, trying to comfort her from the noise. When you heard her whimpers stop, you smiled and reached to lay a small kiss on the top of her head.
Until you felt a noise come from the living room.
You could hear the windows abruptly open, frames slamming against the surrounding walls.
Both you and Lapis were startled by this, feeling her jolt awake in your arms.
"(Y/N)..?"
"It's okay, stay here."
"I'm coming with you-"
"The windows just opened, it's fine. I'll be back in a minute."
You laid a kiss on her nose, removing yourself from her to go close the windows.
Lapis let herself lay back on the bed, clearly unhappy to be stripped from you this abruptly.
She held her shoulders and sighed, turning her head to the door, listening to your footsteps towards the living room.
You managed to lock both of the windows that had been slammed open by the wind, noticing that thankfully not much rain had gotten on the art supplies you both forgot to put away during the day.
You glanced at the clock.
00:19 a.m.
The room was in almost complete darkness, only a few rays of moonlight shining through the windows.
You were about to return to bed when you felt two slender arms wrap around you.
"Come back to bed"
"I was just about to"
"Mhm."
You held hands as Lapis led you back to your bedroom, taking the chance to kiss the nape of her neck just before entering the room, hearing her gasp lightly, her hand tightening around yours.
Neither of you could help but laugh when she turned around to look at you with flushed cheeks.
You both laid under the covers, this time facing eachother, a small smile grazing her lips.
"What? Do I have something on my face?"
Your eyes held love and adoration for her, running a thumb over her cheek.
"Yeah, let me take care of it."
Leaning in, you closed the distance between the two of you.
Rainstorms weren't so bad after all.
