"Bye Mariah" I waved at my co-worker as I leave to go visit my mom. She waved back as I walk out the door and to my car. I live in busan with my sick mother so I can take care of her. My older brother, jimin, moved out a while ago when he graduated to pursue dance. He had a good group of friends who make him happy so that's all that matters to me.
"Finally I'm here, traffic wasn't nearly as bad as it was yesterday" y|n said to herself as she got out of her car and walked into the hospital. "Hello I'm Park y.n and I'm here to visit my mom" I said as I pull out my ID so I can go see her.
"Second floor, 5th door to the left. Room 613" the lady at the desk said as she handed back my ID. I bowed and went to my moms room. She was sound asleep but as soon as I walked in she woke up. She smiled and opened her arms for her hug and I obliged. She looked terrible but she never stopped smiling.
"This cancer is kicking my ass y|n I'm not going to lie, I am scared" she said slightly chuckling to herself as she situated herself sitting up.
"Mom your gonna be ok!! Jimin is coming here tomorrow to see you and spend the day with us, your gonna be ok" I lied.
The doctors told me she wouldn't make it through this, even with a miracle. I called jimin when they told me so I could get him back home to see mom again.
"Ah my baby is coming home? I miss him, y.n ."
"I do too momma, I do too"
A couple hours go by and it's finally time for me to go home, I give my mom a kiss and let her sleep. I leave to my car and sigh, I know she isn't gonna be here much longer so he better be here tomorrow.

I finally get home and make myself some food. It's almost 11pm and I hear someone knocking on my door. I had no clue who it could be, I wasn't expecting anyone. I open the door to a sleepy, smiling, red haired jimin. I jumped onto him and gave him the biggest hug!!
"I HAVENT SEEN YOU IN YEARS" I said happily as he put me down.
"I missed you too y.n!! I flew in early in hopes to spend some extra time with you but my flight was delayed, sorry if I woke you up" he said slightly laughing and ruffling his hair.
"You didnt!! I was just making dinner, you want some??" I said smiling
"Your just now eating?!" He said shocked. He looked me up and down like I wasn't eating or something.
"Relax bro, I just got back from the hospital! I was visiting eomma and she misses you" I said carrying his bags into the house and closing the door. He looked around curiously since he had never been in my apartment. He left home when I was still in high school and living with eomma. It was a rough senior year without him but I managed, even when eomma got sick. He visited often but has been super busy lately.
"You must be tired, huh?" I asked as he stared out the big window. I lived on the 5th floor of my apartment building so it was a nice view.
"Yeah and hungry, what did you say you made??" He asked smiling
"Chicken fried rice!! I haven't had it in a while and I even used mom's recipe" I said almost running to get him a bowl. I gave him half and me half and we sat on the couch and ate. He looked the exact same except for his build, he was a lot more muscular than I remember.
"Is it good??"
"It's amazing y.n!! Just like eomma used to make, how is she by the way??" He asked concerned. He knew her condition and was very sad.
"She isn't gonna make it, jimin. That's why I called you so quick. She looks horrible but not as bad as you think. She still smiles that contagious smile she always had" I said trying to comfort him. He looked upset and nodded at my words. He ate the rest of his food and looked very tired. I really didn't want him sleeping on the couch and I only had one room.
"Jimin, you can take my bed. You've flown so far for mom and your probably really tired I'll sleep on air mattress, ok?" I told him as I started cleaning up and showing him my room. He seemed annoyed at my proposition.
"Y.n, your bed is bigger than your house, I'll get a blanket and split it down the middle so we can each sleep somewhere comfy. I'm not worried about comfort I just wanted to see you and mom" he said smiling. He started unpacking and I helped him divide the bed. He took a shower and climbed into bed after I took a shower. I turned on the tv and put it on low for some background noise.
"Goodnight, Y.n" he said rolling over.
"Goodnight, jimin" I said curling up and drifting off to sleep.
