Midoriya Izuku.

A familiar name for a weeb such as myself.

My thoughts are astray.
Wouldn't it be?

Let me start from the beginning.

Who was I?
I . . . can't remember. It was all just scattered memories of who I was that felt so distant but achingly near.

What happened?
I'm not sure.

Where am I?
Again, I don't know.

Why was I here?
I . . . died.

How?
Stupidity.

I died saving a man who was crossing the street when it was still red light. The man was blind, walking with a cane.

All I thought was, "Why?"

Why was I trying to save a man I didn't even know. I know it might've been one of the best reasons to die but . . . I'm not a hero.

I'm not a cop or a doctor who's profession is to save lives. I wasn't even in legal age yet.

At 14, I died. Truck-kun rammed me to death. I guess watching Isekai Anime made me immune to most of the emotional pain.

But. . .

I was still human. I couldn't believe myself.

I still had my family waiting for me over dinner.

I hate this.

Maybe I was also down because I couldn't watch and read my favorite animes and mangas anymore.

Reincarnated?

Sure. I got reincarnated as Midoriya Izuku, the protagonist of one of my favorite animes -Boku No Hero Academia.

Like the story, Izuku's life was complete. . . 'shit'.

He was a scared little boy with such lonely sad eyes.

He couldn't shield himself from the malice of everyone and everything.

Pathetic.

He's just like glass.

Easily broken, unfixable.

Scattered, missing, incomplete.

Even though other people were also suffering the same fate, it was all too much of a burden to live on.

How come?

It was nothing like the Anime. He was nothing like the Anime.

Everything I watched before felt like a simple delusion made to lighten the fears of this cruel world, to sugarcoat the bitter reality.

No one can be as strong-willed as that Midoriya Izuku.

I couldn't help but feel horrible.

As someone who admired his perseverance, I was shocked to see him wounded and lifeless.

If he was like this, then what about the others?

All Might.

That's when I realized the missing piece. I bigger piece than I have imagined.

He was gone.

With him, Izuku's dreams.

I wonder, how am I supposed to live your life?

I'm not a hero.
