Million thoughts whirled in my mind as I rushed home with Ruby. We are safe, right? I gripped my sisters hand tighter as I ran home. I came upon our house, it looked so different in the dawn of day. I opened the door, and quickly looked around for my mom and dad. "Ruby, where are they?" I asked, in a demanding tone. "In the office.. I think." Ruby stated, she quickly disappeared through the hallway, which lead into the office. I quickly followed her. I paused, I heard my mom's rising voice, "They can't do this! We fought hard!" I heard another voice, which I couldn't make out who it was, "Well they are doing it, sweetheart." It was Haymitch. "We have to stop them!" Her voice was in a somewhat scream, I couldn't tell if it was fear, panic or anger in her voice. "How did they come back?" I heard my father pipe in. "Dunno, they were probably planning this for years, probably getting training until they were ready." Haymitch replied curtly, then it got quiet. "They're bringing the Hunger Games back." That was it, I had to get away from that room. I grabbed Ruby's hand, tears were already pouring out. I started to run, Ruby dragging behind me. Ruby broke free from my grasp, "Faye..." Her eyes were wide, her voice trailed off. "Just go to your room until mom is done talking.." I said before running outside into the only thing I knew best, the woods. I collapsed by a tree, my sobs becoming into screams. "The Hunger games.." I murmured under my breathe, before curling into a small ball.
