I was up on the bridge and we were trying to get this vessel to stop and heave to so we could board them but they weren't listening to us swain was ordered to hail them we trying to get them to stop but they wouldn't listen then they threw something in the water i took a good look at him next to nav on the EOD and me and boss said at the same time "there mines" what the hell then swain told us there was a armed hostile up on deck i took a look and the guy was shooting at the mine oh god they are trying to set it off me and nav looked at each other with worried looks then back at what's going on we followed the CO's orders and the boarding party got told to stand down and we turned the ship away from it so the ship wouldn't blow up with the mine they kept firing at the mine and just a few seconds later they hit it and it went off it sent a loud bang and nav told everyone to brace it sent the ship to fly to its side not fall over just shook it and everyone held on i was behind nav so she fell on to me and i hit my head on the ground "argh" once the ship stopped moving i looked at nav and realised she was bleeding "nav you alright" swain came over and helped her up she sat on the chair and i was leaning on the side he was checking her over once she was done he came over to me "swain i'm fine" nav must of heard me because she said "scar you hit the floor and it sounded like it hurt" he looked at me "come one mate let me have a look" i hate this i'm fine i slowly moved my head so he could take a look at it "just bruising you'll be fine in a few hours but if you show any signs of blurry visions, headaches anything like that come and get me" i nodded "ok" he then left to check if anyone else was hurt i moved over to nav "you ok" she nodded i put my hand on her shoulder "that's good"

I was out on deck with spider and buffer keeping and eye on these mines i was watching and notice there was only 6 mines "spider do you count 6 mines or is it just my vision" he started counting "nah there's only 6" i looked at buff "buff down a mine" he looked at us "what" and came over "well there's supposed to be 7 we count 6" he started counting and got to 6 "yeah exactly 6"  he ran over to the other side and said "one must of drifted out of sight" we looked over and i saw the mine close to the ship and so did spide "buff it's right next to us" he ran over and took a look and then jumped in what the hell is he doing that's to risky "buff" he swam over to it "X" we called for her she came out and i looked at her while spider kept an eye on buff "X there's a mine just of the port forecastle" she looked at me "ok how far" i looked back then spider said "uh just off a few meters buff has gone in" she looked at us and said "what do you mean buffers gone in?" i looked up at her "he jumped overboard man he's trying to hold it off" i looked back at buff and so did spider he must be seriously crazy "you okay buff" after a few minutes X and the CO came over to us "where is he" i showed X where he was swain and 2dads came around with the RHIB and helped drag the mine away buff is crazy we got him back on board and he had to report to the CO can understand why he put the boys and himself at risk

He came back and re joined me and spider on deck the boys meaning swain and 2dads in each separate RHIB with a tow line connected to the ship and we were just starting to see if this tow will work we kept and eye on the mines and i then heard spider say "buff i don't care what the boss said yeah? Me and the boys think what you did was awesome" buff wasn't paying attention he was more focus on the job and so was i now's not the time to be talking he then said again "buff i was just saying what me and the boys" then buff cut him off "yeah i heard you spider" he then said "your a legend" buff then said "no i'm not the boss right i put my shipmates lives at risk i deserve a kick in the head" then spider said to him "yeah but you saved the boat buff" all i could think right now was buff was not in the mood but spider didn't stop he went over to buff "buff look i would much rather be here right now than sitting on a RHIB watching the hammersley go down with a great big whole in her side" then exactly what i thought was gonna happen buffer snapped at him "spider keep your eyes on those mines and your mouth shut unless one of them gets close" i mean it was gonna happen spider came back and buffer said with a softer tone "look i'm sorry mate but we're not out of this yet" spider nodded i finished watching there debacle and put my binos on and continued to watch the mines just in case
