"Hey, everyone?" Alex was standing nervously in front of all of her friends - new and old. They had just gotten back from a ceremony with the new president, who had thanked them all for their hard work and sacrifices to protect their world. Alex had to admit that she felt a new kind of pride that day.

Everyone turned to face her and she nervously took a sip out of her champagne glass. Like she said to Barry earlier, she didn't like having all of the attention on her, especially when she couldn't hide behind the mask of Mirage. This was all her, the real Alex Holt and no one to hide behind.

"Um," Alex cleared her throat. "I just wanted to say that everyone did an amazing job out there today and these past few days as well. I know that every time that we meet up there always happens to be something that goes wrong but I'm hoping that the next time maybe would could change that.

"I just wanted to um, tell you guys that... Barry and I are getting married!" Alex finally revealed, holding up her left hand to show off the beautiful diamond ring that she was wearing. Cheers erupted in the room and they all showed their happiness off for the newly engaged couple.

Oliver nudged Barry to go join her in front of everyone. He did, and made a big scene of it too. Barry super sped over to her and not only gave her a long and loving kiss, but also dipped her as well. He brought her back up and the two pulled apart with their forehead touching and grins on their faces.

Though he didn't understand at first why she wanted to wait, the reveal while everyone was stress free and happy with their end of the invasion was much more satisfying rather than in the middle of it. Barry felt nothing but Joy in his heart - something he hadn't felt since his life in Flashpoint.

As everyone calmed down, Alex went through hug after hug from everyone that was close to her. Even the few that she had just met came to congratulate them as well. That included a not so awkward (at least not as bad as last time) interaction with Nate, who was shocked to see that she was engaged.

"You were right," Barry wrapped his arm around her shoulder and kissed the top of her head. They had been chatting with their friends about life, their engagement, and all things lost in the times apart from their friends. Saving the world was important, but it was those moments that Alex loved the most.

"Geez, don't hear you say that very often," Alex chuckled, leaning into his side. The teams were starting to disperse out as the night went on. It was getting late and time to go back home - wherever or whenever that place was. "Tell me, Barry, what am I right about this time?"

"Seeing everyone happy like this," He gestured to the few people that were left. "It the kind of thing that I could get used to."

"I hope I can bring you nothing but happiness in our future. You deserve it, and so much more," Alex kissed his lips one more time. "Now, go talk to the boys, I know you want to."
