Through The Dark

The Other Side

Niall's Pov ....

My eyes flicker open and I am disorientated I'm not in any pain or quite sure where I am everything surrounding me seems to be white where the hell am I right now ? 

I sit up and look around at nothing but white and something makes me jump a voice.

" You're on the other side " I turn and see a boy maybe the same age as me stood looking at me 

" T The other side " I ask confusion clear in my voice 

" Yeah not quite dead not quite alive " The boy simply replies to me as if this is completely normal surely I must wake up from this weird dream any time now

But I don't wake up this is happening " Hows this even possible ? and who are you " I ask as questions form in my mind 

" I'm Ashton Ashton Irwin and to answer your first question you was in a car accident earlier today " The boy simply says as I stare at him and take in my surrounding 

" Am I dead ? " I ask sacred of his answer 

" Not yet " He replies and stands up 

" Where are you going ? " I ask and stand up 

" You need to see here take my hand " He replies and offers me his hand 

I reluctantly place my hand in his and the next thing I know we are in a hospital 

" how did we get here " I ask as busy doctors and nurses rush around but none of them seem to notice me or Ashton 

" They can't see us " Ashton replies as if he read my thoughts " No one can see us " he adds 

" So how can I see you ? " I ask confused as hell 

" Like I said you're on the other side not quite dead yet not quite alive " and he walks ahead of me I run to catch up to this mysterious boy that seems to hold so many answers 

He walks into a room and there is a boy exactly like him in the bed hooked up to multiple machines and wires 

" That's me my body " He says as I stare at the pale looking boy in the hospital bed 

" How is any of this even possible " I ask 

" I don't know but soon I'm going to have to make the choice " He says staring at his body 

" W.What choice ? " I fumble my words 

" To stay or go " He simply replies 

" How do you even know that " I ask him and he shrugs 

" I just do " He replies " come on " He replies walking out of the room 

" Where are we going ? " I ask 

" To find your body " He replies and walks ahead of me as I struggle to keep up 

" There " He points and I gasp as I look through the clear glass window at my body laid in a bed hooked up to multiple machinery and wires I hear a commotion behind me I turn to see Greg frantic at the hospital desk 

" Greg " I say as he rushes past me and into the room she doesn't hear me 

" Oh my god Niall " Greg sobs and holds my hand and I look down at my hand but feel nothing 

" You're lucky " Ashton says breaking me from my trance 

" Why ? " I ask 

" You have a family a reason to keep living when the time comes you should stay " He says walking out of the room and down the corridor back to his own body I follow him
