Chapter 12

Ruby and I woke up late and we needed to go to school.
R:i'll meet you at school i gtg
D:okay, i'll see you there
i got up and began to get ready
i was walked out the door and realized my parents still aren't home. So I went over to Cesar's backyard . i knew i could find Oscar there.
O:hey nena
i began to cry
O:come here he said
he already knew why i was crying. i went over to him and sat on his lap
O:don't cry. you have me. i will protect you and take care of you.
i gave him a hug. He's really there for me and it felt nice to know someone cares.
O:let me take you to school
D:okay
we got up and started walking towards the front. i saw Cesar looking out the window with a mad face. automatically i thought. "he probably thinks i want his brother" i get me sitting on his lap might be weird but it's something we've always done since i was younger. I don't have time to explain. i already have enough on my plate. I got in the car and Cesar didn't get in. He didn't even leave the house.
Oscar dropped me off at the school and it was already lunch. I walked to the table that we always meet at.
Jemal, Monse, and Jasmine were the only ones there.
M:wheres Cesar
D:Home
J:why didnt he come
D:i don't know
Ja:wheres ruby
R:i have someone to introduce to you guys
a girl with brown hair walked up to the table
R:this is olivia
All: hey
we all introduced to your self and talked and got to know her
i went through the rest of the day and walked him with Monse
M: ik it may seem like i hate you but i don't
D:really
M:yeah, you are actually pretty cool
D:thanks, you're pretty cool too.
M:Not to sound weird but you got gas
D:yeah. are you asking to smoke?
M:maybe but it if you don't want to it's ok-
D:i'll spark you up
M:i've never smoked before tho
D:you'll be okay
we went straight to my room and sat down on my bed. i opened the window so we could air out the smoke
D:ima teach you okay, you are going to cough and it's normal. if you need to spit you can spit outside the window or in the trash can.
i handed her water just incase
M:okay im ready
D:inhale but since it's your first time do it for a couple of seconds because i don't want you to die
we both started laughing
M:okay i got it
i took a hit and did a ghost with it and blew the smoke out
M:woah that was cool
D:i taught myself
M:maybe you can teach me
D:i will but first you have to get use to a regular inhale and blow
She inhaled and blew out the smoke and started coughing
we both began to laugh and continued to smoke.
*1 hour later*
Monse seems to be having a good time. we were talking and laughing and then she turned to me. she was really close to my face.
Monse's P.O.V
i am so high. And Danz is so pretty. This girl is absolutely gorgeous. we were both laying down on her bed. I looking at the ceiling cracking jokes while she laid on her side looking at her phone. i turned over and looked at her. she put her phone down and our faces were really close. Really close. ik what you might be thinking. no i didnt kiss her
Danz P.O.V
D:munchies?
M:Definitely
we went into the kitchen but there anything in the fridge.
D:are you and Cesar cool
M:yeah
D:okay good bc if we want food we have to go to his place
M:why
D:i have come to the conclusion that my parents abandoned me and the bank is taking back my house so right now Oscar is taking care of me until they take my house.
M:what about after they take your house.
D: i don't know, i have to figure that out.
M: are you and Cesar cool?
D:i dont know. he saw something and took it the wrong way. That's kinda why he didn't come to school today.
We walked over to Cesar's house and i was greeted by Oscar.
D:we need food asap
O:there's carne asada outside. we're having a cook out/ kick back
Monse and I headed out back got food and some drinks and headed back my house amd ate.
M:whats up with you and Cesar
D:we were talking at first and then he told me he slept with you
M:oh...you know about that
he face dropped and she looked sad
D:im not mad or pressed about it. I respect the relationship y'all have and i understand how feelings are.
M:how was it like to work with him
D:at first we would take but then once you guys got together i kinda had to hold my feelings back and i stopped talking to him
M:why
D: idk what place you guys are in to tell you
M:were friends. strictly. we're cool.
D:i knew if i kept talking to him, id only catch more feelings.
M:i understand that
D:yeah, we'd talk here and there. We played games after closing.
M:im sorry i kinda made it awkward between you guys
D:don't be. it's not your fault. feelings are feelings. i just took a step back and te-evaluates mines.
M:are you guys talking right now
D:i don't know. we haven't talked in a couple of days. i kinda don't know whether to trust him.
M:take it from me. he's a sweet guy, rough stories the edges but amazing. You'll regret it if you don't give him a chance.
first off take advice from a guy that i like ex. seems kinda...sus but not in a bad way. secondly, what if i do regret it. i really thought about it meanwhile Monse and I were hangin out. i realized that i was really trusting this girl.
*9:09 pm*
M:i have to go home
i walked her to the door and gave her a hug
D:it was nice to hang out with a girl for once
M:it was nice to hang out with a girl other than Jasmine
D:we should do this more often
M:we definitely should
we said bye and i walked back to my room grabbing my towel and headed to the shower
as i was in there. letting the warm water hit my skin. i really thought about Cesar. I should give him a chance. Ima sot back and let everything unfold.
