There is a young man standing at the edge of a ravine seemingly lost in his thoughts. The young man is Satoshi Auralis Cameran, the boy who used to be known as Ash Ketchum, and is now adopted son of Lady Ilene, crown prince of Rota. Of course only known as prince within Rota, the truth was he is also the champions of champions. The only way to become champion of champions is to defeat all of the 5 regional champions and Drake the champion of the Orange Islands. A Pichu jumps up onto his shoulder, Satoshi jumped startled out of thoughts.
(Prince Satoshi? Is something the matter?) a soft voice asked him coming from behind.
"No, but thank you for asking my friend." he replied.
(Then may I ask you what is on your mind?)
"...It has been a year since we came here to train and left civilization... a letter came from my mother. She wrote about a tournament back home... all of the top trainers including them shall be there. I was thinking about returning home and entering."
(You should enter the tournament that way we can take revenge for you) another voice but baritone came from behind him.
(Plus you must not forget that you have all of your pokémon as well as legendaries at your command) the first voice spoke.
"Gardevoir, you must not speak like that." A short pause. "Alright Mewtwo, you convinced me lets head home after I round everyone up."
Heading back to the cave they found on a small journey a few years before he recalled all of his pokémon except for Pidgeot jumping onto its back heading towards Rota at a very fast pace.
After a very amusing and wet journey because of Pidgeot free falling into multiple lakes for fun they landed in the palace's garden. He sends out all of his pokémon letting them explore before heading inside with Gardevoir, a Gallade, and his best friend Pichu following or better yet, Pichu sitting on his shoulder.
"Prince Satoshi, Lady Ilene is in the throne room if you wish to see her", one of the maids told him.
"Thank you", he replied hastilly before changing directions and heading to the throne room.
"Satoshi it is nice to see that you have returned safely", she half exclaimed and whispered with happiness. "How was your journey?"
"Safe, Mom it's nice to see you again."
"Did you return to enter in the tournament? Your old friends are coming."
"I am quite aware of that already. I decided to return early as the festival to honor Sir Aaron is tommorow."
"Will you enter the tournament or show your self to the people as my heir?"
"I was truthfully planning on entering and after the fireworks revealing myself."
"Sounds fair. Make sure to rest though."
"Yes Mom."
"Good. It is dinner so let's go eat."
"Yeah! Food!"
