|Chapter 5: Explaining|

|Addison's POV | 

I pulled into my driveway only to see Jake's car already parked up, it was now 11:35 and there he was, sat on my doorstep waiting for me
"I'm sorry it took me so long to get home" i said making him look at me with a warm smile
"It's not a problem" he said following me inside 

We took a seat in the living room on the grey sofa and he was staring at me
"I just want to apologise again"i said bowing my head
"there is nothing to be sorry about Addison, you have a reason for it" he said still offering his warm smile, i looked up at him and in return he took my hand in his
"What is going on?" he asked
"My dad is in the hospital, after i came home yesterday i found him on the floor collapsed. I had never been so scared in my life"i said trying to hold back tears"I said making him look concerned he scooted closer wrapping me in his arms hugging me
"Do you know what happened" he asked i nodded into his chest
"He has been sick for months, never told me but within the last week or two he has been getting progressively worse" i said making Jake squeeze tighter
"Oh Addison, i am so sorry"he said making me let the tears fall with a few sobs along the way
"It's going to be okay, i'll be by your side every single step of the way" he said into my hair as he hugged me closer

|Jake's POV | 

Addison and I were at on her sofa still, she had finished crying about her dad and we were now talking about the kind of things they did together and it seems to be helping her
"So you are telling me, you and your dad used to go fishing, every summer?" i asked chuckling
"well he would fish, i would explore" she said with a cheeky smile
"Explore? How?" i asked 
"Well i was in the middle of nowhere, i was in the unknown so i had the chance to use my imagination to keep me entertained" she said 
"you are one creative girl" i said playing with her hair as she laid her head on my lap
"How is it 1am already" Addison said making me look over at the clock 
"i have no idea"i said following her as she got up

Addison showed me to the guest room, it was pure white with the hint of navy blue, i jumped into bed after brushing my teeth with Addison and then changing my Pj's (Not with Addison)
I jumped into bed but couldn't fall asleep, it was like my body was waiting for something. I started flicking through Facebook until there was a gentle knock on my door - i guess i was waiting for something
"Come in" i said and within seconds Addison's petite figure appeared from behind the door
"you okay?" i asked she nodded and came and sat on the edge of the bed
"I know we are only in a fake relationship - but umm" she started stuttering until i couldn't understand, i got the drift of what she was saying so i chuckled and opened the duvet so she could hop in
"I hope you don't think i am weird" she mumbled as she cuddled into my chest
"you aren't weird" i said cuddling her back and within seconds she was out of it
I laid there for a while just admiring her, she looked gorgeous sleeping and she looked like she was at peace right now 

"good morning" Addison said waking up after the alarm had gone off, i groaned and pulled her closer
"morning" i said making her giggle
"you have a cute morning voice" she said making me look at her with one eye open
"you look cute in the morning" i said making her blush
"did you know it is super easy to make you blush"i said making her pout and blush at the same time 
"now that is the cutest thing i have every seen" i said before she abandoned me to get ready
