I dove into the cold water that makes most people stop, but I kept kicking making my way to the surface breaking out into full stroke, I reached the wall doing a flip turn pushing towards the other end of the pool were I did another flip turn, I started to slow down feeling tired and my legs feeling numb, but I still pushed my self. In the corner of my eye I saw the other girls behind me starting to catch up quickly.

I reached the last turn and pushed off the wall with all the energy I had left. I kicked my feet faster,I could hear cheering from the crowd making me smile. I hit the yellow pad timer that hangs on the wall in the pool, making it stop with a loud  buzz.

Taking my cap off I dunked my head under the water waiting for the other swimmers to finish. The two girls next to me finished, I leaned over the lane line and said good job shaking their hands,

"Clear the pool please" the official said into the mic

I slipped out of the pool walking over to my coach who handed me my towel.

I thanked him as we both anxiously waited for the times to be posted and announced. The referees all stood around the announcer looking over the times and then 20 minutes later the voice came over the crowed

"Teresa Langele is first for girls 100m freestyle" The announcer, well announced and continuing for the rest of the heats

I walked over to the announcer where they gave me a gold medal, I stood with the other two on the medal podium and took a few pictures with the other girls.

I stepped down and walked over to where my parents were standing with a big smile on my face. They greeted me with a warm embrace, which I melted into and sighed in content

"Great job Tessa" My dad smiled down at me

"So I was thinking we could go to the diner for dinner tonight?" My mom questioned raising and eyebrow at me

I smiled and nodded at her the diner was my favourite place to go for any meal and they have the best milkshakes, when I say best I mean it. I quickly ran to change room throwing my sweatpants an sweater on till we got home so I could put on real clothes, not that sweat pants aren't real clothes but you know what I mean.

We pulled into the driveway of my two story house, the door was ajar and we all had confused looks on our faces as we looked at each other

"You guys stay here I'll go see what's going on" my dad said giving us a stern look

Mom and I nodded our heads

"Be careful please." My mom said grabbing my dads hand

He walked up to the door and slowly pushing it open turning on the lights.

About 15 minutes later my dad walked out of the door and gave a thumbs up

Mom and I got out of the car slowly, I grabbed my swim bag from beside me, making our way to the front door something felt weird but I shrugged it off walking into the house seeing that nothing was moved.

"I must have not closed the door tight enough" Dad stated with a shrug of his shoulders

I personally don't think my dad would forget, but we all make mistakes, I continued walking up to my room I threw my bag on the floor my walls are a light purple with white furniture place all around. My bed has a white comforter with grey and purple pillows.

I grab some clean clothes and throw them on my bed making my way to the bathroom. I jumped into the shower to wash the chlorine off my body and out of my hair, which seems to never get out.

I ran my shampoo through my hair waiting a few minutes before rinsing it out and doing the same with my conditioner, I stepped out of the shower wrapping a big fluffy towel around my body leaving the bathroom moving over to my bed.
