Chapter 32

"How stupid! The culprit's attempt to frame someone just became the critical evidence in proving Tenko innocent." Kokichi laughed, "BAHAHA! I wonder how our culprit is feeling right now!" 

"Why would the culprit do such a thing?" Keebo asked. 

Rantaro let out a sigh, "Most likely, it was poor thinking on their part." 

"I bet it's Miu! She's always been such an idiot!" Kokichi jeered. 

"What did you say to me? You brat!" Miu retaliated. 

Kirumi spoke up, "What now? We established Tenko is innocent, but how do we find the culprit?" 

You turned to Angie, "Angie, how many people knew you, Tenko and Himiko were all meeting up at night?" 

"Well, Atua only gave me the idea near the ending of the party we had after Himiko's magic show. Only Miu, Keebo and Kaito were left in the dining hall. But! I do not know if they heard our plans." Angie stated joyfully, despite the situation. 

"Wait! The culprit needed to be able to pick locks right?" Miu suddenly asked, "In order to get into Tenko's room to take her ribbon?" 

"Yes..." Shuichi answered hesitantly. 

"They wouldn't it be the little shit over there!" Miu asked pointing to Kokichi, "He's picked open all of our dorm rooms before!" '

You let out a sigh, you knew it was going to happen so you were prepared. "Even if Kokichi was able to pick open the locks... the problem is the scratches. I watched Kokichi as he picked open the locks himself to get all of your KubsPads. He didn't leave any scratch marks." 

"Oh I see..." Miu muttered, "I made a mistake." 

"You always make make mistakes! Your whole life was a mistake!" Kokichi laughed. 

"Eeek!"

Rolling your eyes, "Well thank you for that short interruption..." you turned back to Angie, "So the only people that could have known about the sleepover before it happened were... Keebo, Miu and Kaito?" 

"You also knew about it, after I left the dorm rooms I told you about it." Angie continued. 

"Right." You acknowledged, "Tenko did you say anything to Miu and Keebo when you saw them?" 

"Actually..." Tenko began, "I did tell them I was the last one leaving Himiko." 

"Alright, so to summarize... In order for the culprit to even come up with the idea to frame Tenko... the culprit had to know that Tenko was the last one to leave. That narrows our suspect list to Angie, Miu, Keebo, Kaito and myself." You answered. You inwardly winced when you listed yourself, but you knew you didn't do it. 

"Right, they also had to know when Tenko left. So that they could commit their plan after Tenko left." Shuichi picked up.

"This removes (Y/N) and Angie off the suspect list." Rantaro continued.

"So our final suspects are Keebo and Miu!" Kokichi cheered. 

"Wait! I have an objection. Earlier we stated that the person had to already be in the room when committing the murder." Keebo talked, "If it was neither Angie or Tenko, how could the person be in the room? I doubt Himiko would open the door to anyone." 

For once, Kokichi started taking the lead, "That's easy, all the culprit has to do is sneak in. Or... at least have an item that can do the job sneak in." 

An... item?  You suddenly thought, once again, it seemed like Kokichi knew more than he let on. You mused over those last words. You eyes suddenly widened with realization. "The burns and the scorch mark!" 

"You think they were caused by the culprit?" Shuichi asked. 

You nodded confidently, "For sure, and that means only one person could have done it..."

The trial is finally wrapping up! I think it's pretty clear who the culprit is now. All that really is left is a final explanation of the murder. I saw a few of you getting pretty close. 

Anyway, so to be honest this is the first time I've ever wrote an ORIGINAL Danganronpa murder and trial so please let me know what improvements I can make! 

I hope that the other trials will be more interesting and well planned out.
