the forest floor.

i am laying down on the moss and the fungi, my eyes slitting as the green wraps around me and accepts me as one of their own. it's quiet, apart from the sounds of raindrops pecking kisses to the muddy earth. something scampers over me and i don't flinch. i look up and see the pinky-purple fade away into nothingness and i melt into it. the air fills my lungs with my last breaths. a single salty rock slips down my face as i merge with the nature of loving.
but now i'm awake, stumbling through a deeper forest, where everything is real.
