Thor woke up sweating and his heart was beating extremely fast.

"I can't do this...."

"Thor calm down. It's just me."

Thor was still panicking despite Carol's efforts of calming him down.

"I can't let this happen..."

"Come on Thor, follow my breathing."

Thor started to calm down, but was still a little fearful. Carol sat there the entire time, not leaving his side.

"Tell me about your dream."

"It was about the battle. Thanos used the Infinity Stones to bring all the enemies back. He ordered them to fire at us and..."

"Slow your breathing Thor."

"They overwhelmed us. I watched everyone die in front of my eyes. I watched you die."

"Your dream isn't real Thor."

"I have had the same dream over and over."

"It's all in your head. Don't let it consume you."

"Ever since Thanos, I have had awful nightmares."

"Thanos has made us all change."

"The dreams won't stop. Every time I try to sleep, they come back."

"How long have you had them?"

"Ever since Wakanda."

"You should have told me sooner."

"I am cursed because of him. And I can't get rid of the dreams."

"I can help you Thor, trust me."

Thor put his face in his hands, trying to push back all his thoughts.

 "You don't have to suffer alone. I still can't forget that battle. I thought I had lost you for good. It was devastating. None of us can forget that day."

"My life is great, yet I still am haunted by the memories."

"We both are. None of them will know what we've been through."

"I still blame myself for what happened even though we won."

"Every single time we have to fight, memories coming rushing into my brain. It doesn't matter what any of us do, we will always be haunted by the events."

"Everyone says we are the strongest beings in the universe, but they haven't seen what the aftermath does to us. I am supposed to be strong, but I can't take the pain. I am mentally drained and it keeps getting worse."

"You are strong Thor. Most of us would have quit by now."

"I have lost more than I can bear, and I don't want to lose you or Chris."

"As long as you're next to me, I could care less if we lose."

Thor stood up from his spot, and headed to the meeting room. He sat down quietly, and stared at the screen.

"We are as prepared to go against them."

"Loki said they were planning to attack New York."

"Where the Chitauri tried to attack us all those years ago?"

"Yup."

"We are going against the strongest armies in the galaxy, and they choose to attack there?"
