you smell like carrion flowers.
the rancid smell of rotting flesh
the corpse flower emitted
should've been a warning.
you attract scavenging flies,
and trap them to ensure
the pollination transfer is complete.
in other words, you use us
time and time again
to spread your ways
and infect our lovely air
with rotting concepts, ideas.
an incomplete poem sprouts
from your seed,
our brains couldn't make coherent thoughts
and finishing around the edges became difficult; the smell took over our lives.do you have a lavender i could smell instead?
