Ashlyn beautifully finished the song on a lovely note, leaving you completely satisfied. You really needed to clear your mind, and singing that exact song got the job done. You looked over at Ashlyn and gave her a friendly smile, but saw her eyes looking over your shoulder.
You followed her line of sight, only to see the boy who was on your mind while you sang that song, Ricky Bowen. He was staring at you in complete astonishment. He had never heard you sing before, but listening to it had made him fall even more in love with you.
"Um..." his brown eyes lowered to avoid your gaze. "That was really—"
"I-I uh, I have to go," you stuttered, jumping up from the seat immediately. You glanced at Ricky before shyly looking away and rushing off the other way. "I'll see you later Ashlyn."
Ricky sighed. "She walked off and acted as if I wasn't even here."
"She only did that because she got nervous," ashlyn reassured with a side smirk. "she likes you Ricky, or as she puts it, she loves you."
