Don't Touch Me

Zim's POV

Sitting in class I look over to the empty seat. Y/N hasn't been at school since Tuesday. Maybe Zim missed something? I was preoccupied with Tak's plans. Good Thing she is gone now! No one takes ZIMS MISSION!

"Doom...Doom...Doooooom" Ms. Bitter's chants throughout the whole class.

Laying my head on my desk. What has that human done to me? She won't leave my mind. Even When Tak was trying to destroy earth, all I could think about was Y/N's safety. ERRAHH! Enough Zim! You are Zim! She should be honoured to even be considered Zim's potential mate...so why am I so nervous about rejection?

RING*

Finally, this pathetic school day is over! I bolt out of the classroom. Maybe I should visit Y/N-Human to see what she is doing?

After about 15 minutes I reach the house that I slept in only a few nights ago. My chest begins to tighten at the thought of seeing this PUTRID Human...Why?

Shaking slightly, I try to knock on the door. ZIM CALM DOWN. You are an Irken! You Fear Nothing!

Standing for a few seconds I start to see the door open.

"Haha One Minute Chi-" Her smile Drops. "Oh, hi Zim. What are you doing here?" She frowns at me.

"Zim wants to know why you haven't been at school these past few days?" I glare at her, arms crossed.

"Why do you care where I am? Shouldn't you be with Tak right now?" She's giving that face Dib always gives me. Anger? Annoyance?

"Can Zim come in? Please?" Zim almost spits out the word please as if it was poison.

Y/N Just stares. After about what feels like entirety, I hear her sigh.

"Ugh...Fine" She motions me inside. I follow suit. I look around and see a cat.

"What's that?" Pointing to the small fluff ball.

"LEMME AT HIM!" Chi jumps claws out ready to cause some havoc. I close my eyes with my hands up ready for impact, but it never comes. Slowly opening my eyes, I see Y/N Holding that monster in her palms as it tries to scratch me.

"Chi! Enough! You don't hurt him like that ok?" Y/N looks at Chi and he only nods. "This is Chi....my um... cat." Y/N looks at me. I shrug. "Anyways... what do you want with me Zim?" She looks a Chi and cuddles him. I step closer to her to try to grab her hand.

" Y/N-" I get cut off by her.

"I suggest you don't touch me if you want to keep your limbs Zim. Chi doesn't like Users. And will attack if you get close." She steps away and holds an intense glare.

"Users? When Did Zim use you?" I am so confused. Trying to recall anytime I may have said or done something wrong. Which is never! Zim is never wrong!

"Are you still dating Tak?" My eyes widen. Date? I was just trying to get information on human affection. I didn't want to use Y/N as my experiment because I actually like that pig too much. Y/N looks like she's holding back small tears.

"No, Tak was Irken and she was trying to take my Miss-" I try to spew out my reasoning.

"Oh Great She's Irken too? Something else she's better at being then me." She walks to the couch and places Chi there and just stands looking away from me. I wish I could see her eyes right now.

"What is that supposed to mean!?"

"She's pretty, she's smart and she's from where you were born. She can understand you better. Better than I could ever hope. You completely dropped me for her. Was is because she was Irken?" She won't turn around.

"No! I hate Tak! Zim only used her for information regarding human affection!" I try to reason with her.

"Was my human affection not good enough for you? Was I...Was I really that bad? Something you didn't like? Or maybe Tak offered you something better..."

"What? Zim never shared any human affection with you?" She whips her head around clearly angry. Oops.Zim must have made a mistake.

"Never shared affection!? What was the time outside your house when I kissed you, all the times we held hands, hugged, the time we made out in the rain. and Last weekend when I...when we SLEPT TOGETHER! Was that not affection to you?" She is leaking from her eyes.

"Y/N...Zim thinks that different. Human affection is pain based and Y/N has never caused Zim any pain. Only the opposite. You make my Squeedlyspooch feel funny whenever Zim's near you. My heartbeat races whenever you touch me. Zim actually enjoys your affection. It has to be different than what regular human affection is!" As I am talking I get closer and closer to her. She notices this and backs away.

"Zim. I can't be your play thing. I would like you to leave now. I know you aren't used to human emotions but until you figure out what you have done wrong and properly make it up to me. I do not want you touching me. Please." I can't touch her? Zim can't see Y/N until he makes it up? what does that even mean?

She seems serious. Zim has to listen in order to get Y/N Back...

"Ok Y/N-Human. If that is what must be done. ZIM SHALL ACCEPT and FIGURE OUT HIS MIST-AKE." I start walking to the door. "Prepare yourself Y/N! For Zim shall not rest until I Make-It-Up to you. Whatever that means!" I Smile and confidently walk out the door and head home.

Y/N's POV

Closing the Door I hear Chi Talk.

"That boy really loves you, you know that right?" Chi looks incredibly sad for him.

"I don't know Chi, You're the one that told me it takes a lot for Irkens to fall in love. And he seemed quite content with Tak over me." I cross my arms.

"Oh Come on! ~You make my Squeedlyspooch feel funny whenever Zim's near you. My heartbeat races whenever you touch me.~ He just doesn't know what he's feeling. He has no reference for the feelings he is having."

"You were the one ready to gouge out his eyes!"

"Yea that was until he confessed his thoughts to you! I think he genuinely believes that using Tak wasn't going to hurt you at all."

"I know Chi, but everyone needs a lesson with respect and boundaries. Even Mr. Alien. He needs to learn the hard way I am not a girl you can mess with." You punch the air.

"You go Sista!" Chi Punches the air too. "I wonder how he is going to make it up to you! I hope it's all romantic!"

"Pssssh yea if he ever figures it out. I am curious though..." You sit down with Chi on the couch and bring him to cuddle you.

"Zim is quite the special one..." You feel a small smile tug on your lips.

"Yea you can say that again!" Chi Hugs your body and purrs lightly.
