The Next Morning on the way to School.

Man its still kind of rainy. I hate this weather, your feet get wet and then you are sitting in wet shoes and socks for the whole day!

You start walking up the steps and notice the green cutie. He looks different?

"Zim!" You yell at him to get his attention. He turns around and gives you a sweet smile.

"Ah Y/N-Human! How are you this Horrific EARTH Day?"

"Good so far...Say-" You look him up and down. "Is that my sweater I gave you yesterday?" You cross your arms. He blushes a bit.

"Why yes it is! Its an excellent barrier to the Filthy Sky Water! Plus I brought my UMBRELLA!" He points to the umbrella that he is holding onto for dear life.

"Well you do look cute in it. and If you like it so much I guess you can keep it." You can't look him in the eyes...Remembering what Chi and you talked about last night.

Zim blushes at your compliment. But doesn't respond.

"Anyways I will see you in class. I'm going to get going." He only nods and watches you walk away.

Class was boring and frankly uneventful. You felt wandering eyes on you though.

LunchTime

You walk into the Cafeteria and go sit next to Zim.

"Mind if I sit? I offer snacks?" You smile at him while pulling out some doughnuts Chi made. Zim's eyes light up and nods.

You two eat in silence but it's comfortable. Just eating away at our doughnuts.

"Hi...um...Y/N..." You hear a voice behind you. You turn your head and see a boy that's in the grade above you. He was quite tall dark hair blue eyes with a small blush on his face.

"Um Hi? Have we met?" you offer him a friendly smile. Zim is eating his doughnuts watching you two.

"No not officially. We are in the same Chemistry class. I believe you are a year ahead with that class?" He's shuffling his hands from anxiety.

"Oh Yes! I thought I recognized you. Yes I am quite good at Chemistry. Do you need help? Is that why you came here?" He shakes his head no.

"Uh No, you could help with something else though..."his face is red at this point. Zim takes notice and has a weird feeling coming over him. You on the other hand just look at him signally for him to go on.

"Well...You are so smart and pretty, I mean beautiful. I was wondering if you wanted to go out on a date sometime?" He gave you a nervous but hopeful look.

Your face was dusted with light pink.

"Thank you for your offer but I am actually already interested in someone else. Im sorry." You can't look him in the eyes. Rejection must be so painful. He looks hurt but offers an apology and says goodbye.

"What was that?" Zim turns to you eating.

You grab a doughnut. "He just asked me out. He's actually the 3rd one this week!" You think about all the rejections you had to give.

Asking out? Out of where?" Zim has a confused look on his face. You chuckle.

"No Zim, Asking out is another way of asking to go on a date."

"daTE?"

"Sigh...Going on a date is when you and your love interest go somewhere together. Another word might be Courting? Usually when you go on a few dates you become Partners." You simply explain. Zim stiffens at the word partner.
