Polly's pov
(^^ look at the date!)
----
I walked into school that day with a wide grin on my face.

I was feeling confident.

I was feeling great!

I walked into the gates, instantly smiling at Jane. We linked arms and walked in.

"So your looking rather happy this morning?"
Jane asked.

"Yes well I'm feeling great! How are you Jane?"

"I'm great!"
I smiled at her.

We walked in. My smile soon Faded.
I stopped making Jane slightly trip.

"Polly? Oh-"
Our attention was drawn to George.

He had his arm around Anabel Thomas.

Anabel Thomas is a stuck up git.

She's the most "popular" the most "pretty" girl in our year.

But Jane and I think she's a rightful bitch.

We always snarl when she walks past.
And now George! My George had his arm wrapped around her tiny perfect waist!

I mean it doesn't bother me at all. George is just my best friend.... Nothing more.

Right?

"Jane.... Why does George have h-"

"His arm wrapped around Anabel Thomas's waist?"
Paul interrupted coming to stand with Jane and I.

"Yeah..."

"Oh-uh h-h- hey hey p-paul..."
Jane stuttered out.

Jane's always loved  Paul.
I always thought he was very attractive.
But I don't tell Jane that.

"Hiya Jane!"
Paul responded.
I rolled my eyes. Jane and Paul would be perfect together. I always thought.

We all watched as Anabel and George walked towards us.

Jane stuck her finger in her mouth, indicating how disgusting she thought this was.

I half laughed but stopped when they got to us.
I avoided Georges eyes. Those beautiful d-
No Polly you don't like George remember!

"Hey girls! Oh-uh h-h-hey hey Paul!"
Basically every girl in my year and Paul's likes him.

George looked uncomfortable with Anabels little comment towards Paul.

What a slag.

"Uh hey?"
Paul replied.
I couldn't help but crack a small laugh.

Paul wasn't the slightest interested in her.
Which surprised me.

He always flirts with everyone.

"You alright there Patricia?"
I stopped my laugh.

"Oh why I'm perfect Anne?"
She scolded at me.

George smiled and looked down at my comment.

They walked off.

I looked at Paul, then back at Jane.

We both started laughing our heads off.

I whipped at tear, from laughing so hard.

"Oh why I'm perfect Anne?!"
Paul repeated.

Sending us all back Into a fit of laughter.

"What a slag."
Both Jane Paul and I said in unsion.

Georges pov
Polly's been spending lots of time with Paul latley.

I really like her, so it breaks me down everytime I see Paul flirting with her. Or toying with her.

So I got Anabel Thomas. The hottest girl in our grade to show up with me In front of Polly.

She only agreed to do it with me, because I said Paul would be there.

Polly's pov
After our little encounter with Anabel, I went to my history room.

But no one was there so I took my seat early.
I swung my bag over the back of the chair.

I turned around and nearly jumped out of my skin.

George was in the room.

"Holy shit George! You scared me."
George looked sad.

"You ok Georgie?"
He turned around.

"I'm sorry Polly, it's just... It pains me to see you with Paul all the time. So I wanted you to see me with Anabel."
He just blurted out.

I was shocked.

What?! What did he mean?
As friends? Was he JELOUS?
"What do you mean? As like... Like- like do you like like me George?!"

"Oh-uh n-n-no as friends...."
George stuttered out.

I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around the poor lad.

For some reason I was disappointed he meant it just by friends, but I immediately shoved that thought to the back of my head.

I don't feel like that towards him.

"Oh George... You know you'll always be my number one! Don't even think that way!"

He hugged me back and nuzzeled his head in the crook of my neck, sending love waves down my whole body.

"Plus Anabel is a slag."
I added.

George laughed.

I pulled back. I looked into his eyes.
His big eyes. Full of sadness. Full on mysteries.

I couldn't draw myself away from his eyes.

They were enchanting.

He leaned in.

I leaned in.
Polly! Stop no! This isn't right!
I thought to myself. But I wasn't stopping. Neither was George.

"Hey pol-"
Jane busted in.

She looked at us smiled and left.

George and I quickly backed away.

A small blush creeping up to my cheeks.

"I uh- uh um I've gotta get to english... See you next period love."
He George kissed my cheek and left rather quickly.

I stood in the classroom, completely flustered.

That day marked the day, where I questioned my true feelings for George.

Georges pov

We nearly kissed!
That would of been a dream come true.

But I guess it just wasn't meant to happen at that moment.

But something told me that.

Our time would come.

I haven't written a chapter about the two as kids! So enjoy this!
I might actually do some more.
So I can save George and Polly's little moment for a bit.
