Dib's POV
"I'm sorry agent Mothman but we can't help you." Then the transmission cut off.
"Why can't anyone believe me?! Zim needs to be stopped especially now since he has Y/N's help." I sighed laying down on my bed, defeated. 'What will happen when the world is overthrown by Zim? How can I stop him, my latest plan failed. Maybe I should give up, its been 5 years now since Zim has been here I'm 16 now. I should grow up, my dad was right. '
"DIB!! DAD IS HERE FOR BREAKFAST IF YOU'RE NOT DOWN HERE IN FIVE MINUTES I WON'T HESITATE TO WHOOP YOUR ASS!!" Gaz yelled.
"Ugh."
Y/N's POV
9:52 AM
"Mmh, what-" I woke up feeling really comfortable, I was wrapped around something, it wasn't that warm but the comforter helped. My head hurt like hell, I had a migraine.
My eyes suddenly shot open, memories of last night flooding into my mind. I lifted my head almost screaming at how close my head was next to Zim. 'What is he doing in my bed?! How is he asleep!? Do Irkens normally sleep??' I was internally freaking out. It was good mom was out for the next few days.
"Nnngh, filthy earth sun..." I shut my eyes closed again, trying to act asleep when I heard Zim mumble to himself, he moved slightly to his side. he tensed up for a moment and then relaxed. "Why did I do this.."
He sighed seeming disappointed, I tried my hardest not to blush when he rubbed my arm. I peeked my left eye open slightly, Zim was looking behind me, lost in thought.
"Zim? What happened?" I groaned, putting on an act of waking up. He immediately jerked his head in my direction.
"Uh- Zim was...Observing your nesting quarters! Yes!" He nervously laughed. I was a little concerned, his face was almost a blue color.
"Are you ok? Your face is blue!" Zim was quick to respond by giving me a nervous smile.
"Yes yes, Zim is fine Y/N! I have to go work on some more inventions down in my lab. I will hang around later."
"Wait, Zim!" It was already too late. Zim had used his PAK legs to swing himself out of my window.

A tall man was sat at a desk, surrounded by countless papers filled to the brim with scientific research.
"Dad, can I talk to you?" The man whips around to face his son.
"Sure son! What is it?" The man asked patiently. The younger took a moment to catch his breath.
"Dad, I think you were right. I should pursue real science."
"Brilliant!! I was just about ready to head off to the lab, would you accompany me?" Dib felt his heart swell with hope.
"Sure dad." The two left the basement of their house, heading downtown to where Membrane Labs was located. Dib was happy, he was happy to make his father proud. It's all he ever wanted.

Y/N's POV
"Hah, that one looks like a duck with a top hat." I laughed to myself. I was currently sitting atop a tall hill, about a mile from the town. After Zim left I decided to explore the town more, I came across a beautiful hill I saw from a high building. I went back home to grab supplies for a picnic. "Just me, myself, and I," I mumbled. The weather was very nice, the clouds were fun to watch.
"Huh, never thought I'd see anyone else that wasn't stupid enough to actually leave the town." I spun around to face Gaz, Zim told me how she was Dib's younger sister. "They are too brainwashed to even do anything else besides breathe, walk, and eat." I chuckled.
"I can agree with that. Hey, what game are you playing?" I asked, in her hands was a Nintendo Switch.
"Mortal Kombat Legends." She replied I leaned over to look at her screen.
"Do you play Super Smash Bro's?" I asked. She paused her game looking up at me with a smug smirk.
"Definitely."

Y/N's POV
"Damn, you are pretty good at this game I'll give you that." Gaz was impressed by how many times I had beat her playing Mario Party. I gasped when I finally realized how late it was.
"Shoot! It's late, I should probably head back." Gaz stopped me.
"Don't worry I usually camp out here for a few nights to get away from my brother. I have a tent already set up at the bottom of the hill." I was surprised I hadn't noticed the fully-sized purple tent set up about 20 feet away.
"Oh, are you sure? I'm probably bugging you-"
"Nah, I can tell you are stressed, and to be honest, you are one of the most tolerable people in my life." I smiled, happy to know Gaz liked my company.
"Friends?"
"Friends."

Y/N's POV
"I'm surprised you have everything set up." I admired the fact Gaz was prepared to live out here for years if she wanted. We sat on foldable chairs in front of a small fire pit. "Aren't you worried about wild animals?" I asked. She laughed and pointed to herself.
"Nope, I've taken a lot of self-defense classes a year ago. When I was younger my dad forced me to join Girl Scouts, I hated it, but I guess what they taught me was a good thing." She chuckled.
"Thanks for letting me hang out with you. I really needed this." I sighed dreamily listening to crickets hum in the distance. "I never took you to be a nature type of person, no offense." I quickly put my hands in front of me, I didn't want to offend her, it just slipped out.
"None taken, and yes, I agree. Most people would be surprised. You and my dad are the only ones that know of my little 'Campsite.'" She giggled. "I sometimes like to also appreciate the environment around me. Even if I have my face stuck in a fantasy world, I like to remind myself that there are still some good things reality has to offer."
"Woah, that's deep." I stopped to think about her words, Gaz was a lot different from what I had expected. I was glad she wasn't hellbent on the supernatural like her brother was.
"Hey, do you mind telling me why you were so stressed? I'm only curious, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to." She leaned forward, her eyes stared intensely into my own.
"Well, this morning I woke up with Zim sleeping next to me." Gaz gave me a smug look. "It wasn't like that! He was helping me, the night before I had an immense panic attack after a nightmare I had. He heard me panic from his house and came right over, I eventually fell asleep on top of him." At this point my face was as red as a ruby, I took a deep breath. "I've been thinking about it, and I was starting to notice I really like Zim." I giggled. "He is always there, at the right moment, at the right time," Gaz smirked.
"He totally likes you, the way he defended you when my brother was trying to stir up a scene was cute." She smiled, pointing to me. "You two would be perfect for each other, I just need to help you lift your confidence." She sat back in her chair folding her arms across her chest. "We start training tomorrow."
"Wait wh-" Gaz was already walking away into the tent. I sighed, thinking of the next day ahead of me.
