Tuesday 4 AM

Your POV

'Ugh, my head hurts, what time is it? I groggily lifted my head off of my pillow. My mind was still cloudy and distant. I looked to the left of my bed to look at my alarm clock. In big bold numbers, it read 4:02.

"Well, I'm already awake, I may as well get up now, I should be getting up for school in two hours anyway," I mumbled to myself. I sat up in bed stretching out my sore muscles, my window seat at the front of my bed. At this time of the morning, the sun was just about peeking out above the horizon. It was astonishingly beautiful.

"Wow, I feel like today is going to be a good day." I smiled, getting dressed for the day. 'Maybe I could make breakfast for mom and me, I bet she would appreciate it.

Tuesday 7:30 AM

Your POV

Right on cue the bell rings for class to start, Zim surprisingly had not shown up right away. From the corner of my eye, I can see Dib eyeing me down and giving me dirty looks.

"Alright, class, today I have to inform you that we are going-" Her sentence was cut short when Zim busted through the door.

"Zim is present!! Zim had things to take care of." He boasted, pointing to himself seeming proud of his statement.

"DONT LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN ZIIIM." Mrs. Bitters growled out, purposely drawing out his name.

"As I was saying, I have to inform you all that tomorrow we are going on a field trip to the local pool. The heatwave has brainwashed the administrators into thinking we need to go to the pool as a class. Each and every one of you need a signature from a parent to go. NO EXCUSES OR ACCEPTIONS." I paled, 'Water? That can hurt Zim!'

"HA! ZIM! LET'S SEE IF YOU SURVIVE TOMORROW!!!" Dib seemed to have the same thought as I did, But he found Zim's pain amusing. 'Egotistical jerk'

Around 9 AM Zim suddenly shot up out of his seat, standing on his desk pointing over to the teacher.

"I HAVE A MIGHTY NEED to use your restroom!!" Zim shouted, Mrs. Bitters, give him an odd expression and nodded.

3 Hours later...

12 PM

Your POV

After Zim had disappeared for three hours I got worried. I was sitting down at our lunch table in the cafeteria. Dib got up and started to head in my direction. I got a little nervous.

"Where is your little alien boyfriend now huh?!" Dib taunted. "He's not here to save you now. I will kidnap you and make Zim admit to being an alien!! HAHA!!" I gulped, gaining more courage I stepped up.

"What do you know Dib?! He is not even my boyfriend anyways." I blushed, even thinking of that thought.

"I will do whatever it takes to save the world from him!!" Dib roughly grabs my arm, I gasp trying to pull him away.

"DIB-STINK!! WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO TO MY HYUMAN!!"

"Shit!" Dib curses, roughly pulling me to the side. I fall to the floor landing on my arm. I hiss grabbing my arm, I may have bruised my wrist.

"What the FuCk Dib!! I think you bruised my wrist!!" I yell at him. Zim growls at Dib baring his zipper-like teeth at him.

"You stupid meat sack!!! You will regret this!! Zim will beat you until you bleed!" Zim lunges at Dib grabbing him by the shirt collar and punching him straight in the nose.

"Ohhhh haha get rekt Dib!!" Gaz laughed at Dib. I got up on the floor to see Dib punch Zim in his eye, almost knocking off his contact lens.

"GAZ!! HELP ME!" Dib yelled.

"Nope! You got yourself into this one, and honestly, it's really funny to watch anyway." She laughed. After 2 minutes of them wrestling I decided to break up the fight. I grabbed Zim's arm pulling him away from Dib, Gaz was pulling Dib away.

No one in the cafeteria looked like they did not see a thing. 'A fight just happened and NO ONE NOTICED?!?.'

"Grrrr Let me go! Hyuman-Y/N! Zim needs to destroy Dib-beast!!"

"No Zim! I have a better idea let's just get out of here, I need my wrist bandaged." Dragging Zim out of the cafeteria was not easy. Especially when Dib was yelling nonsense on the way out. Sneaking past the fr\ont office was pretty easy.

"Come on Zim, let's head to my house," I said, he perked up finally using his feet instead of me dragging him.

"Ok hyuman. Zim will destroy Dib later."

1 PM

Your POV

"Why are you home so early?" My mother sat in the living room with her hands on her hips. "And is this the boy you were talking about yesterday?" My face went red hearing her speak. Zim gave me a questioning look.

"Zi-The hyuman-Y/N and I were having a peaceful lunch period when a bully came up to her and broke her wrist, so I helped her out and we decided to leave early so she would not have to deal with the bully anymore today." I was very shocked at how formal Zim was being in front of my mom, he didn't even use the third person to refer to himself.

"Oh, okay, thank you for helping my daughter. I really appreciate it." My mother smiled at Zim and pat him on the shoulder, he slightly flinched but paid no mind to it. My mother gave me a look and I sighed leading Zim to my room.

"Thanks for getting me away from Dib I was honestly worried he was going to take me." I looked down towards my feet, ashamed I was too weak to actually hurt anyone. Before we moved I really had no friends and everyone said I had bark and no bite, this was true. I was knocked out of my thoughts when I felt one of Zim's clawed fingers rest below my chin, lifting my head towards his face.

"No one can take you from Zim, you are too important to Zim. Zim needs you in order for Zim to be Zim." (Brain freeze there sorry. xD)

"What do you mean?" I asked shaking a tiny bit.

"Zim wants you to help him, Zim needs your help. So I will make sure no harm will be done to you. Dib-beast has ruined too many of my plans, I will not let him ruin one more." Zim stated, looking a little disappointed. I smiled leaning forward I hugged him.

"Thank you, Zim. I need you in my life too." I could have sworn I heard a small chirp coming from him. 'It was probably nothing.'

'Today was a good day, tomorrow has a new meaning. Everything has a good side. Even Zim.'
