"You been toxic today?" Jaide asked me while we walked into her grandmas house and I shook my head no. "Good."
"I'm never toxic.." I said and she cut her eyes at me. "Maybe just a little bit but not a lot."
"Okay girl." She chuckled.
"Why we even here? Ion know this lady."
"You said you wanted relationship advice right? My grandma is a retired counselor, she got me through my first breakup." She shrugged her shoulders. "And she doesn't force you to do anything, she just gives suggestions."
"....okay." I nodded after thinking about it while we both walked to a back room and her grandma was sitting at a desk.
"Nana." Jaide said and her grandma looked up before smiling. "I missed you!" She went and hugged her.
"Mwen te manke ou tou, Jaide."
I stood around confused because I don't know what she said and I didn't wanna ask because that's kind of rude. Maybe Jaide noticed that I was lost because she turned around.
"She said that she missed me too." She explained. "Nana, this is my friend Alayna. The one that I said wanted to talk?"
"Ohhh, boy problems huh?" Her grandma asked before shaking her head. "Gason yo fatra! Yo tout se tricheurs."
I looked at Jaide once again for translation and she sighed. "She said that men are garbage, they're all cheats."
"Oh, okay." I dragged out while nodding my head before sitting down.
