Chapter 26

"Alright, so we're done with this side, time to go on to the guy's side." You said out loud as you walked up to Kokichi's room. "Oh! My first home! Can I go in!" 

"Nope!" Kokichi said as he unlocked his door.

You pouted at his response, "I mean you've been breaking in to everyone else's room so I think it's only fair. Plus I used to live here so...." 

Kokichi just ignored you and walked in, you decided not follow. Kokichi probably has his whiteboard up by now, he probably doesn't want me to see it. 

Soon enough he came out holding his Kubs pad and you continued your quest. Keebo had Angie's. I wonder who has mine and Kokichi's...? 

Right as you thought that, you stepped inside of Kaito's room to find his Kubs Pad. You snatched it up and pressed play. It was Kokichi's. 

Ah. Kokichi. I found yours...." You announced as you waked out of Kaito's room. 

"Ooh! Ooh! Let me see!" Kokichi snatched it from you and pressed play. You heard his motive video play at full volume. You also watched as his face fell when watching the video. 

"Kichi... you okay?" 

He looked up at you and put on a small smile, "This is fake, Dice would never let themselves be caught. I'm just upset that Kaito of all people knows the true identity of my organization." 

You chose to believe that lie, you had never seen Kokichi looked that visibly upset before. There was a pause of silence until you mentioned that we should probably continue getting the rest. Gonta's room was next, and it turned out he had Kaito's. 

"Wait. He has Kaito's? I thought Shuichi had Kaito cause of how much Shuichi was freaking out the morning when we received them." You asked out loud. 

"Are you stupid? Gonta literally revealed to us that morning that he had Kaito's. Mannn you must really be deaf!" Kokichi chided you. 

You paused for a second to think, suddenly you remembered that scene. 

Kokichi spoke up, "So what are those videos?"

"A new motive no doubt. As to why they were all mixed up though...I have no clue." Keebo answered.

"Y-yeah Why Gonta get Kaito's vide—"

Keebo cut Gonta off, "No Gonta don't say it!"

"It's alright, I won't ask for mine anyway." Kaito stated.

Gonta looked puzzled, "Huh? Was Gonta not supposed to say it?" 

"Oh.... now that I think about it... I do recall something like that." You said sheepishly. 

Kokichi just gave you a look, and the two of you continued downstairs to Ryoma's room. Ryoma had Gonta's. Korekiyo also ended up having his own.

"So we need to be careful of both Tenko and Korekiyo..." You said as you guys walked to Rantaro's room, Kokichi started to pick the lock until the door swung open. 

You and Kokichi were face to face with the person you were about to rob, Rantaro. "So this is what you guys were doing at each dorm."

"Ha... Rantaro... I can explain." You started. 

"There's no need, you saved my life before (Y/N), if it weren't for you I'd be dead like Maki is. At this point, I'm sure you only have the best of intentions." Rantaro cut you off "Besides, I want to see who has who's monopods as well... and I want to see mine. I have to know about my talent..." 

You handed the list to Rantaro, "Here's the list of people, also... your Kubs pad doesn't say anything about your talent... It just talks about your sisters."  

Rantaro wrote something on the piece of paper, "I have Ryoma's... his was depressing though. It said he didn't have anyone he cared about. Also could I see mine....?" 

"Nishishi, be my guest!" Kokichi answered, handing Rantaro his Kubs pad. Rantaro, much like Kokichi looked visibly distressed as he watched it. 

"Hey... for all we know these could be bluffs." You said, trying to console Rantaro. 

Rantaro looked up at you, "I know.... I'm just disappointed that they censored my ultimate talent... speaking of which lets go get yours... Shuichi should have it."

The three of you left and walked to Shuichi's room right as the nighttime announcement played. Kokichi went over to the door and unlocked it. 

Rantaro went inside the room before you could even attempt to go in, "(Y/N) I'll get it, I don't want you to watch it by yourself." 

Rantaro came out soon enough with your Kubs Pad in his hand. "Here you go."

You took it in your hands and hesitatingly pressed play. 

(Your First Name) (Your Last Name) Motive Video was displayed much like every other video. 

"Alright, back by popular demand! It's motive video time!" The video chimed, "Who's the most important person in your life... and without further ado..." The screen cut to black.

"(Y/F/N) (Y/L/N) the Ultimate...." the word that came after Ultimate was too quiet to hear, "In this world, (Y/N) was always a lonely child. (Y/N) had no friends or anything. Of course, this all changed when (Y/N) met her fellow people in this death game! And all of a sudden (Y/N) has friends! People to care about!" The video then cut to a picture of you with the rest of the danganronpa v3 cast. "Even though the tensions have been high, and time has been short. (Y/N) finds it so easy to be friends with everyone!" 

"Of course, this wouldn't be much of a motive if this was the only case... So for one time only... if you kill a person and get away with it... you can choose an additional person to graduate with you! Of course... the other fifteen will still die but even you have a person in the cast that you like above the rest! So get out there and kill!" 

Your mouth was open in shock. So this is their additional strategy huh? They know absolutely nothing about me... so they had to do this. 

"Well... I suppose that could've gone worse." You stated outloud. 

Rantaro looked questioningly at you, "I just don't understand why they did that with you but not Ryoma?" 

"They probably were encouraging Ryoma to let himself be killed, rather than to kill." Kokichi answered. "You're video is interesting though. They barely mentioned anything about family and... why did they specifically mention 'in this world'..." 

"It's probably just to add flavor... to highlight the fact that I am a lonely child perhaps?" You questioned. I doubt they'd really want to give away the fact that I'm from a completely different universe... and how would the Danganronpa directors in this world know that I am from a different world... 

"Maybe...." 

The three of you sat in silence for a bit, each of you consumed in your own thoughts. Until you suddenly got up. "Oh my gosh! It's way past nighttime! We left the rest of them with the bugs!" 

"Oops. I forgot." Kokichi lied. 

Rantaro let out a sigh, "I...don't even want to know." 

"C'mon! Let's go rescue our classmates!" You said, forcing a grin as you raced to the Ultimate Entomologist's Lab.
