She wore her heels and then removed her silk gloves from her trunk. Total Fischer through and through.
After getting ready, the girls stepped out of the dormitory, and walked down stairs. As soon as they were in the common room, there were wolf whistles.
"Ladies of the sixth year of Gryffindor are going to set the ball on fire!" Someone exclaimed from the common room, prompting Helena and Alecia to blush but Celeste just winked at people.
"Three certain boys are waiting for you out of the portrait hole. We kind of sent George out." Poppy said from the corner, waiting for her date to show up.
Celeste laughed before the female trio exited the common room, nervousness edging in them.
"Helena, you go first." Alecia pushed Helena towards the hole, which made Helena glare at the raven haired girl and walked out of the portrait hole.
"See you at the ball!" Alecia exclaimed before she climbed out of the portrait hole leaving Celeste behind.
Celeste took a deep breath, nervousness suddenly clouding her brain. She took a shaky step and walked out of the portrait hole.
Her eyes met the familiar steely blue eyes, which went wide at the sight of the icy blonde girl.
"I- wo- I.. Sweet merlin, you look beautiful." Newt stuttered as his eyes took in the attire of Celeste.
"I am quite happy that you love it." Celeste said as she gave him a bright smile. Her eyes took in how he looked.
He was wearing navy blue dress robes with a dark blue waistcoat with cream coloured shirt and dark blue Cravat. His trousers were the same colour as his dress robes.
"Aren't you looking dashing?" Celeste complimented as she walked forward. Newt took her right gloved hand and raised it to his lips.
"I- I am honoured to take you as a date to the christmas ball." Newt said sweetly as he stared into yellowish green eyes.
"So am I. How did I got so lucky?" Celeste asked with adoration in her eyes for the boy standing in front of her.
"I could ask the same question. So shall we, my lady?" Newt asked, making Celeste chuckle.
"Why not fine sir. Lead the way." Celeste played along. Newt offered her his hand, and Celeste tucked her hand into the crook of his elbow.
"I am going to be honest with you. I am really nervous. What if I stepped on your toes? Or more horrible, what if I am the reason we both trip on something and fall down?" Newt started to speak as they descended the stairs.
"Oh Newt. I promise you will be fine, and if you don't feel like dancing, we can always leave and go by the black lake." Celeste offered with a smile.
"And ruin your christmas ball? Oh merlin no, I am going to be fine, especially just for you." Newt shook his head and put up a shy smile.
Hogwarts was buzzing with student's happy chatter and dates complimenting their dates.
But everyone's chatter turned into whispers as Newt and Celeste descended down the stairs.
Newt's navy blue dress robes, and Celeste Peach glittery dress complimented each other very much.
Newt nervously shifted on his feets once they stopped by the great hall. People's eyes on him always bothered him, but knowing that he is dating a future auror, this shouldn't be surprising to him.
"If you feel like escaping, just spare me a word." Celeste whispered to Newt before entering the great hall, giving Newt a big smile.
The great hall was not like it used to be every day. Now there were several round tables around the hall with six chairs on a table.
