Sara groaned a long sigh, her mind had gone crazy, insane, completely wack and out of control. She was not supposed to want to kiss him, right?

She wondered what it would feel like if he were to initiate a kiss between them. If it would be like in the movies. Would his arms capture her waist and pull her closer? Would his hands caress her cheeks and hold them gently to allow him full control over her soft lips? Would he-

Her mind was wondering off again. The palms of her hands hit her forehead as she tried to get the strange and definitely unwelcome thoughts out her head.

"Sara are you okay? What is going on? Did you fall?" Adam was panicking outside the door as he heard something slapping skin.

"I-I'm fine," Sara forced herself to answer out of fear that he would bang down the bathroom door in worry that she had hurt herself and possibly fainted if she did not respond.

He was so caring and loving apart from the first day or two and then a bit of the first two or three weeks they knew each other but hey he had turned over a new leaf after that. He loved her and always wanted to look after her and protect her. When she was poisoned he doted on her and held back her hair as she puked and still told her how beautiful she looked despite how pale and sickly she was at the time. He also defended her-

Again! Again her mind was justifying his actions and painting him as some sort of hero. Why was this happening to her?! When would it just stop?!

It was like the new voice in her mind was forgetting some of the minor details like how he kept her like a prisoner in the castle, had taken her away from all she knew and had kidnapped her for his own selfish desires.

How were those desires selfish? How could she antagonize him like that for just being in love with her? She was cruel to treat him as she did. It was not his fault whatever he was was led by their instincts in such a way. He was suffering without her. Their culture revolved around true love and was that not beautiful?-

Sara stopped her thoughts, why was she suddenly defending him. She groaned and leaned back against the door. When did life become so complicated.

"Sara when are you coming out? If this is about our kiss then I assure you it was magical for me," Adam asked, a small part of him hoping she would kiss him again when she came out.

Her soft lips were heaven and tasted sweenmt and divine and he wanted to feel her close to him in such a beautiful and almost intimate way. The wolf side of him was becoming more wanting after she initiated the kiss. He could not wait to make the woman his queen. She would be so beautiful sitting in her throne beside him. The throne had been empty for centuries waiting to be filled by her and the time was steadily approaching. He was definitely getting a head of himself there.

Sara froze as he spoke his words. If he liked the kiss then did that mean he wanted to do it again. She did not want to be leading him on. Were her actions leading him on? They were supposed to be married soon enough but she did not know if she loved him and kisses were reserved for lovers.

She was not going to kiss him again if it lead to the kind of conflicting feelings she was already experiencing. The last thing she needed was to fall further into the dark hole of uncertainty she was already trapped in with her feelings.

"Sara are you coming or must I come in? You can't just stay in the bathroom," Adam said.

His wolf had began to howl put inside him desperate for the sight of his beloved to know she was well and to console her through whatever she was feeling.

Sara froze at his words. She did not need him banging down the door and she forced herself to her feet and reached for the key to unlock.

Her legs were shaky, as were her hands. She was scared. She was not ready to face him.

She was scared and overwhelmed. She should never have done something like kissing him. It was the worst thing she could have done in her position but it appeared that she was an idiot who did it.

"Breath in and out, in and out," she muttered to herself under her breath.

Her hand fell on the key and she turned it and opened the door.

Her body was almost instantly grabbed and pulled into that of the King.

Adam was desperate to give his female the attention and care that he felt she needed.

His hand petted her hair.

"Speak to me beloved. Tell me what troubles you," he whispered to her.

Sara's heart was racing. He was so close. Her heart was pressed up against his shirt covered chest. His voice echoed in her ears and heart. Beloved, he loved her. She already knew that but his kind and caring behaviour and his willingness to listen had her heart fluttering.

Adam listened to the racing of her heart. It appeared he affected her at least a little. She was beginning to feel the effects of the bond a little more strongly. It was no longer some far off whisper in the wind. It was taking over. She was falling.

"Speak darling," he encouraged her.

"I-I -I-I-" she stuttered.

He could almost picture how red her face was in embarrassment but he considered the picture in his head to be cute.

He lifted her head with his fingers, curious to see her face and sure enough it was more like crimson than tomatoes and fire.

She fought to lower her head but he refused to allow her to retreat.

He did not want her feeling ashamed by her beautiful blush.

"Don't hide it Sara. I find it beautiful to see that I affect you as such," he said with a smile.

Her mouth was open, gaping like a fish. He now knew that he had begun to affect her, it was embarrassing.

"How about we go and eat and forget about everything that happened here," Sara quickly suggested before rushing out the room.

Adam was puzzled, he did not want to forget anything that had happened besides how the seamstress had treated her. If the seamstress was not so revered and important, being one of the best if not the best in his kingdom, he would have surely delivered a much much harsher penalty or even have had her put to death. No one was to treat his beloved Queen as an insignificant when she was the most important.

He quickly hurried realizing Sara was already ahead of him and he quickly caught up to her, accompanying her to the dining hall.
