"Anything from the trolley my dear?" The trolley lady asked as she stopped in front of their compartment.
"Oh yeah. On box of berty botts every flavoured beans and spearmint." Celeste said as she stood up and removed two knuts from her trunk and went out to take her bought things.
Celeste then had to attend the prefect meeting, and got introduced to head boy and head girl and new prefects.
To her astonishment, a slytherin was made head boy. Celeste didn't have any prejudice, but this particular boy was really racist and Celeste hoped that she didn't have to take rounds with him at all.
After eight hours of journey, the train came to a halt in front of Hogsmeade station. Celeste, being the Gryffindor prefect, stood up and exited the train first and helped the first year student off the train.
"Kindly follow the head boy, he will take you to the carriage assigned for you." Celeste spoke authoritatively and beckoned the nervous first year over the head boy.
"Please do not wander around, it's dark." Paul said as he saw first wandering away from where he was supposed to be.
And after making sure that everyone had made it to the carriage, Paul and Celeste walked towards an empty carriage themselves, talking and laughing.
"So quidditch captain, huh?" Tricia Woods asked Celeste as she sat opposite to her.
Celeste glanced in her robes, before looking up with a smile. "Yes, I am the gryffindor quidditch captain." Celeste offered with a smile.
"Knew you would make it. Traci knew who he had to choose to pass over his legacy." Tricia said, warmly as they were joined by Hannah and Grace.
"I swear, I hate those Slytherins." Helena mumbled as the carriage started to move towards Hogwarts.
"What did they do now?" Paul asked, brows burrowing.
"'You are a blood traitor, your family should be ashamed of you. Blah blah blah.'" Helena mimicked the Slytherin that agitated her, and the people in the carriage broke down laughing.
"Don't let them work you up Ena. They are gits. Celeste, don't even start with your house unity bullshit. We all know that they hates us and everyone at Hogwarts except purebloods." Paul said, shaking his head.
Celeste might kid herself, but her friends were correct. Slytherins she has met were pure vile and cruel, maybe except certain Lestrange and a few handful of students, but others were downright cruel and vile.
Peeves seemed to be on an agenda that day, as he zoomed past their group of friends, and saluted Celeste before dropping a water balloon on the group behind them.
"Peeves, I would politely ask you to stop harassing students." Professor Dumbledore spoke, getting everyone's attention.
"I am just giving them a warm welcome." Peeves cackled as he hovered over students. Celeste giggled as she looked at Paul, who was smiling widely.
"So should I call sir Baron?" Dumbledore asked, even his eyes twinkled with amusement.
Peeves huffed and blew a raspberry at the lovable professor and floated away from the stairs.
"All of you head in the great hall please." Professor Dumbledore instructed the students on the stairs, and the crowd dispersed.
The Feast was not very interesting, except for the announcement of the Christmas ball. The great hall was full of whispers, and Celeste had a weird look on her face.
"Why is the Christmas ball being brought back?" Celeste whispered to Helena, who just shrugged her shoulders.
"I really have no idea. Maybe because they want students to stay for christmas?" Helena said, a great possibility.
