"Dang that witch!" a girl's voice yelled. Dean stared out through the dust and saw the outline of her. She had on black pants, a white shirt, and... Castiel's trench coat? She turned and locked eyes with Dean. Her eyes were the same blue as Castiel's, and her hair was the same color.
"Cas?" Dean asked.
"Yeah? Dean, what's wrong?"
"You're," he cleared his throat. "You're a girl."
"Yeah, you don't think I noticed, Dean?! The witch told me that this is permanent. I'm stuck like this forever. What would my friends say?"
"Hey, calm down. Listen, you're still Cas, just in a different body. You're still my best friend, and I'd die for you if you were in danger. I'd take your place. We're family, remember? And family..."
"Don't end with blood. I know. It's just, won't things be weird? I mean, I'm stuck in a girl's body, but I still have the same thoughts, about you, about demons, about life before this."
"Thoughts about me?"
"Nevermind. Don't worry about it. Let's go. I wanna kill something."
Dean followed behind Cas as she headed back to the Impala, her words making his head spin. As he watched her, the witch came up and placed a spell on him, replacing male Cas with the new, female Cas. The witch did the same for Cas, making her forget she was ever a man, so they would finally tell each other how they felt. That's all the witch wanted, was for them to admit how they felt for one another.
1 Month Later
"Hey, Cas!" Dean smiled as he sat at the table in the bunker. Cas looked over, and felt her heart flutter. She'd always felt oddly happy around him, and she knew it was because of her little crush on him.
"Hey, Dean."
"I have a question."
"Okay. Shoot."
"If I asked, would you ever go on a date with me?"
"Why are you asking?"
"Because I really like you. Like a lot. And I don't know why, but I felt like you did, too."
"Of course I do, Dean. And I will go on a date with you. All you had to do was ask."
