Proof (Flinx)

Jinx felt a heavy weight on her side and she opened her eyes slowly, still asleep. She saw a big figure in the dark and then it hit her. The events from last night.

"I have nowhere to go" she had told him once the battle against the HIVE 5 had ended, with a victory from the Teen Titans and other heroes.

Kid Flash looked at her with concern. He put a hand on hers and squeezed it "That's not true, Jinx" he told her, keeping his voice low for some reason.

She looked at him with a puzzled look "You have me" he told her, and she couldn't help but blush notably. It wasn't her fault her skin tone was so light.

"What do you mean, Wally?"

"I'm saying that you can come and live with me, in my apartment" he said, "I was the one who encouraged you to become a hero, I won't leave you alone now"

Jinx looked down "I don't want you to feel like you have to take care of me because of that" she said "I can take care of myself"

He shook his head and squeezed her hand again "I know, Jinx" he looked at her, but she wasn't looking at him "I want to take care of you because I like you, and I want you...to be alright"

The pink-haired hero gulped. She wasn't used to people caring about her and being so close to her. She always knew Kid Flash was different and surprisingly, she didn't feel uncomfortable.

She sat up on the bed and rubbed her eyes. Wally was sleeping next to her, as she had expected. She didn't mind him at all, but she was still afraid she couldn't control her emotions around him.

She scratched her head and thought about the previous night. Was she going to live with him forever? Will he tell her to get her own place? What will he do when he wakes up?

Jinx didn't want to leave his apartment, or his presence. She felt safe around him, and even tho she could take care of herself, she still enjoyed having someone she felt protected with.

"J-Jinx..." Wally's sleepy voice woke her up from her thoughts. She couldn't help but think his tired voice sounded specially sexy.

"Good morning, Wally" she said, not showing any emotion in particular. She didn't want him to think she was enjoying his company, even tho she was. She didn't want him to think she was easy.

"Morning?" He rubbed his eyes "What time is it?"

Jinx glanced at the clock in the night table "5pm..."

"Oh wow" he said "That's not what I call morning, Slowpoke" he smirked and she rolled her eyes.

"Shut up, West" she said coldly "Im not in the mood"

"Huh?" He sat up too, curious about why his Slowpoke was moody. 'It is probably nothing', he thought.

"I just-" Jinx started, but immediately stopped when she noticed how close they were to each other.

'For fuck's sake Jinx, you slept with him' her inner voice said.

"I'm just worried about myself" she spoke truthfully, for the first time in god knows how long. She didn't know why, but she felt as if someone stabbed her heart if she lied to Wally. He was just so caring.

"About what, exactly?" He put a piece of her pink hair behind her ear. Jinx was wearing her hair down, and even tho everyone told her she looked pretty, she still wasn't used to it and felt awkward.

"About where I'm going to stay for the rest of my life, for example" she said, kind of ashamed of herself "I've just left the Brotherhood, I have no money and no friends. Anything"

She felt like crying, but she didn't want Wally to see her like that. Not in a million years.

"Jinx" he spoke in a really soft, low voice "I told you that you can stay with me for as long as you want"

She shook her head "I just don't want to intrude Wally" she confessed "I don't want to be around here when you bring girls home, or when you invite friends over. I don't want to bother you, okay?"

She really felt like she was about to cry. A little tear escaped her eye, and the Speedster seemed to notice.

"Oh, Jinx" he kneeled down in front of her, still on the bed, and touched her cheek carefully "You don't bother me at all"

"No, I-"

"Shut up, Lucky" he smiled "I rarely invite friends over, and even if I did, I would love to introduce you to them, alright?"

He spoke in such a soft voice, as if he was talking to a little kid, it was impossible not to be calm.

"And about bringing girls over... I've never done that" he said. He grabbed Jinx's hand and squeezed "The girl I want is at home right now"

Jinx shook her head, and smiled slightly "You're so silly"

"I'd rather be called handsome" he smiled, and pulled Jinx into a hug.

She wrapped her arms around his torso and buried her face on his shoulder "Is it true?"

"What is true, Jinx?"

"That you care about me" she said shyly.

"Of course I do, dammit" he looked into her eyes "I freaking love you Jinx, wasn't it clear enough?"

"You've just ruined the moment"

"But you still love me"

"I've never said I did"

"But you still do"

"Got any proof?"

Kid Flash smirked and pressed their mouths together. At first it was rough, but then it became gentle, so damn gentle Jinx felt as if she was going to fall asleep, in the best way possible.

"There goes my proof" Wally smirked once they pulled away "You kissed me back"

Jinx rolled her eyes "And you call that proof?"

She grabbed the collar of his tee shirt and pressed their mouths together again, wilder this time.

Jinx didn't say the words to him, but Wally didn't need any other proof to know that she loved him, indeed.

And she loved him so much.
