So guys, I think I figured out 2 out of three skill sets I would like to explore for your character, as well as a special type of shield upgrade. The shield being the basic Borderlands 2 shield with the added ability to form the Halo Reach bubble shield.

As for the first skill tree set, it being the ability to summon and use a Halo 4 Mantis.

And finally, for the second skill tree set, like Fl4k in Borderlands 3, the ability to summon a pet to fight alongside you and make it grow for a short period of time. This pet being the Indoraptor.
