11. November, 1938
Ich habe gesessen gewartet und sie ruhig bestehen für zu. Ich habe gedacht, ,Würde das immer ende? Sehe ich meine Eltern immer nochmal?' Ich habe schrieen und Mama gebittet hier zu blieben. Ich habe angst gehabt, veil wer würde auf Mama aufpassen. Ich bin leise geblieben und ich habe gehofft, das sie verlassen werde. Es war der schlimmste tag meines Lebens. Alles das Blut und schmerz. Ich werde nie vergessen, was die Nazis zu meine Familie getan haben.

I sat and waited quietly for them to pass. I thought 'Would this ever be over? Would I ever see my parents again?' I heard Mama scream and beg not to take Papa away. I was scared of being found and taken like Papa, because then who would take care of Mama. I stayed silent and hoped they would leave. It was the worst day of my life, all that bloodshed and pain. I will never forget what the Nazis did to my family, and they call themselves human.
