You tossed me aside like an old doll,
Broken used, and abused.
You said you would be there for me,
Even then you were confused.
You claimed you were one to trust,
Not someone who would pry.
I hate that I am weak,
I was never one to cry.
Was I too toxic for your taste,
Didn't like the way I played?
The real me wasn't there,
Afraid you would upbraid.
You said you would be there,
Wouldn't leave me behind.
I tried to convince myself,
But in the end I was just blind.
