You're hiding the darkness within the light,
The truth behind the lies,
The pain behind the mask,
The guilt behind your eyes,
But the darkness didn't surrender,
The truth came tumbling out,
The pain that was revealed,
The guilt that soon did flout.
Wallowing in fear,
Drowning in hate.
It's hard to survive,
What you don't anticipate.
So capture the rope,
Lay down the blade,
Tie a noose,
And let the world just fade away.
