Arious

Chapter 1: Missing

       Waves rumbled above the Temple of Poseidon and his family. His children start rising from their sleep and stretching in their beds. The 16 year old twin girls get dressed in their long white togas and put on their blue quartz headbands. "Caritous I feel that something is missing" one of the girls said. "Hmm I don't know, let's go see if we can find Dad, he's probably in the Great Hall" said Caritous. Both of the girls walked out of the huge room made of quartz and marble. Arious and Caritous, two of Poseidon's daughters, are greeted by one of their very tall brothers, Trident. He waves and smiles at them and they reply with a wave as they walk by. The girls keep walking to the Great Hall where they normally have all of their meals.

     "Good morning my beautiful twins. Hmmm Arious why are you in a mood? The waves are very strong today." Poseidon asked. "Oh father she is in a mood because something important is missing and it's important, but she can't figure out what it is!" exclaimed Caritous. Their father nods and signals everyone to sit down at the table and eat breakfast. The rest of the family eventually makes it to the table. Arious picks at her ambrosia biscuit with her blue quartz fork. Trident nudges Arious and gives her a concerned look. "You know I hate it when my little sis is upset, what's the problem. He asked. Caritous is signaling for him to cut it out behind her back. 

       None of the siblings saw Caritous signaling and they all started asking Arious what was wrong. The waves above were now furiously churning and were dangerous to be near, Arious is as mad as she has ever been from her family's persistent questions. "THAT'S IT!" Their father roared over all the chatter "This will now be a silent breakfast! Now get on with the meal already".

        Arious was fuming, she ran out of the Great Hall and to her room.  She sits on her bed with bright blue sheets, the colour of the ocean. She puts her hand on the bed and feels something that is not the sheets. Arious looks down and picks up a letter from 'Hermes'. "Ugh what now. He is always causing trouble!" She said angrily.

Dear Arious,

I can see that the waves are churning from my cave. I am pretty sure you must be angry about something. You're angry because something is missing, am I right? I happen to know what you are missing. Have you yet checked on the gardens since last night. Meet me there.

- Your friend Hermes♡"

Arious put down the letter and grabbed her golden bow and quiver full of arrows Artemis got for her birthday.

       She headed out to the front entrance to the temple and rushed past her father and Caritous. Poseidon opened his mouth to talk but doesn't say anything, they look at each other in question. "The waves are up to 6 feet tall sir!!!" says one of his loyal servants. "She is dealing with the problem it will be over soon ... I hope" Poseidon said loudly.

        Arious made it to the garden where Hermes was to meet her. She looked over to the pasture where her winged horse lived and noticed that she was missing. She spotted Hermes sitting in the luminous nectar tree playing a lyre. "You ignorant little thief! I am done with this nonsense of you and your games!" Arious said while drawing her bow and pointing it towards Hermes, she shot it into the tree right next to his head. "Where is my horse!!!". He fell out of the tree in fear. "S-s-s-sorry I won't mess with you or your family again just follow me and I will lead you to Rio, your horse!!"Hermes said wearily. "Hmm that's what I thought." She exclaimed. The gardeners look at Hermes in shame. 

       They made it to his cave, all the way in the back there is a light blue horse with wings and a fish tail. "Rio, oh this thief has taken my pride and joy. He shall never do that again!" Arious exclaimed, rushing over to hug her horse. Instantly the waters have calmed down in the ocean. Hermes apologized to the duo. "I think you need to serve your punishment come with me now!" Arious said firmly while mounting Rio. She signaled Hermes to mount behind her. After Hermes mounted Rio they took off already knowing where to go, up to Zeus's temple.

        "Why are we going to my fathers temple?" Hermes questioned Arious. She replied, "To serve your punishment." Hermes gulped while Arious smiled smugly. Rio lands abruptly on the quartz stairs leading up to Zeus's temple great golden temple in the clouds. "Bb-b-but why Zeus my dad, I did nothing!" Hermes said while dismounting Rio. "Because you have stolen from a goddess and made me force you to return her to me!" Arious yelled, furious that he thought he did nothing wrong. Zeus heard the commotion on his stairs and he came down. "What is all the commotion about I am try to have breakfast!! HERMES?! What did you do now, why are the waves rolling? What have you done to anger Arious!" Hermes trembles while Arious stands tall and angry. "Sir your son Hermes has stolen from me and did not give me my horse back, that is why the waves are rolling." Arious says while petting Rio. "Hermes you shall serve your punishment, come with me you are to stay here until you are old enough to understand to not mess with goddesses." Zeus said strongly. Arious winked at Zeus and he winked back. Hermes started walking up the stairs to the temple.

 AN: Arious is pronounced like this: Arie and then ouse (it should sound like house but without a H) and then Carious is the same way: Cartie and ouse
