Manik stared at her angelic face her face didn't hold any happiness it was cold and tired. Last ten years his life has been miserable just like hers but for ten years she is hating him for a sin he didn't commit. He always loved her no matter how pathetic his behaviours were. He knew he did commit a crime but never has he ever cheated on her.

He wanted to end his punishment he was done once and for all. How much can a human being tolerate pain? Ten years is a long time the way Nandini deserves happiness he deserves it too.
He's been killing his own happiness for a very long time the only thing which keeps him sane is his daughter Piyaa. If not Piyaa then his life would have been meaningless he might have turned himself into a mad man without any hope of living.

Manik sat beside Nandini and caress her cheeks with his fingers, those soft cheeks he used to kiss every day not a single day went without her and here since the last ten years he had strived for a glimpse of her, her beautiful smile, her eyes. He was still in love with her no matter how many years or lives passes it's going to be only her no one else.

After a few hours, Nandini woke up her head spinning due to low blood pressure, her eyes scanned the area and found Manik in a corner speaking to someone on phone. She tried to sit but failed miserably her body not providing any help. Manik rushed to her after the phone call and help her sit, she drank a little water and sat half laid on the bed exhausted

"Why did you stay?" She asked he adjusted the blanket on her lap and sat beside her on a chair "Soha might be waiting for you"

"You think I care about her?"

Nandini gulped her saliva his voice wasn't the normal one he was angry but he didn't have any right to be "She is Piyaa's mother"

"Yes did you ever ask me how?" asked Manik. His voice no longer holding back. Ten years it's a long time to hold back. When he told the truth to Aryaman the only answer he gave is Nandini needs to know the truth but he didn't have the courage to say it.

He partly did commit the crime he is guilty of but this guilt needs to be gone, he ain't a saint and humans aren't capable of sacrificing the only thing they love. Mankind is selfish so was Manik and he wanted Nandini to know the truth later it'll be her decision to stay or to leave

"Does it take a genius to know how are kids born?" Nandini's voice held disgust.

She knew where this conversation was going this was another conversation going into gutter she thought. This conversation was going to take her ten years back in rewind intensifying twice her pain. But at last, let this happen and let them clear this once and for all. Nandini was determined to never give him a second chance he doesn't deserve one she thought
