Can I Be Happy With You?-Start-

I knew that tonight would be an all-nighter. Why i didn't tell Daimyn, i have no idea. So now here i am, midnight, running around trying to close up my boss' office. Here you never known when you'll get sleep. My day's packed between school and work. School around six and then i get out about five-thrity. Work starts at six-twenty-five. The commute from school to work keeps me there on time. Then after that it's up to God himself when we'll close up. Becaue only he knows. We come to work an stay until we're done with our newest article. I'm a part-time publisist. I write articles for the newspaper and for internet websites. I stay constant busy. We don't even get breaks at work. You work till that dear boss of ours gets up and leaves. Tonight was my shift to close up. Daimyn's already mad.

I love my job though. The only people on my shift are Patrick, Gregory, Patty, and Thea. And of course my boss Tracy. He's a handfull but with my friends here, he's easy to cope with. Lockig up was easiest. Turn off all of the power, set the alarm, clean up a bit, and lock the door behind you. I had it easy tonight. All i had to do was throw away from styrafoam coffee cups, and of course lock up. Looking one last time at my store, i started to walk down the street. Tonight, i KNOW i'll be going home to a lonely husband. That or he'll have guest over. He's weird about which he chooses to do, because sometimes he'll just up and leave until the next monring as soon as i hit the door. He HATES it when i work late. Stuff like that used to be the complete opposite

Flashback

"Do you have to leave me?"

"Baby, you know i have to. You're parent's will be home soon, and you know i do NOT need to be here when they roll up."

"I hate it that i don't get to see you for long periods of time. You'll end up leaing me for someone else. Watch."

"I won't be leaving you baby, i live right down the street. I'll see you sooner or later, okay?"

"Fine, whatever you say. I don't care."

"Look here little miss. You know i hve to go."

"I'll miss you so much."

"Baby, i already miss you."

I remember how when i was so much younger, my self-esteem was lower and my trust was thin. But Daimyn kept his word. He always cameback, he never cheated, he stayed faithful, and he gave up smoking. He turned into a completely different person. It was a shock. Just the having the knowlegde that i myself could change a man was amazing. He'd been the same exact way for a long time, but he met me. And everything flipped. That's one reason why i love him, and another reason why i don't mind that he had gone to bed without me tonight.

As i finally lay down beside Daimyn, i realized how complete i feel near him. I wrapped my arm around him and was happy to feel hm turn facing me. He was awake no, but he cuddled up to me all the same. It's late nights like these that make everything worth doing over again the next day. It's the warm feeling i get when i'm in his arms that keeps me running back home. I love him.
