I Am

I mask myself with my words and asides. Puncturing others with my sarcastic replies. Hoping no one sees what I have hidden inside, it's so opaque I don't even know what I feel and why.

Tell me, tell me

Things don't change

That my cries are really the drops to a waterfalls grace

Or Am i really the crashing waves

Slowly accumulating to the tsunami that occurs every now and then after the flood gates break to an open door

I distance myself to cause no one pain

For I only wish it upon myself

I'm still the little girl in the middle of the storm yelling at God to spare them all and instead to target his fury upon my own fall.

I am who I am, for it is who I have become. I feel silent in the noise that surrounds us all.
